Kubick Japanese Restaurant — Restaurant in Waitematā

Service was hopeless and the so time consuming, first the lady gets our 3 orders wrong. Then she is so rude and start blaming us for not ordering correctly, then she stands over our head and starts yelling to the chef/owner that we don't want our order. Teriyaki chicken came with beef. We had to order again and by now its already 10pm- got free coke as apology and it didn't stop here. When the lady brought our correct food to the table she actually threw the tray in front of us knocking the coke bottles. The chef was nice, he came and apologized and asked us if our food was good and at that time the lady speaking in her language said to the chef not apologize and don't ask if food is ok. We were lucky that one of us understood what the lady said. She was rude when we went to pay-she didn't know what we had ordered so we had to look at menu to tell her. Not remotely Japanese at all, it's run by Koreans. Price is reasonable for uni students and a great place to get a warm Asian meal. Problem is that they only do a select few things good, and everything else sucks. Get their donkatsu noodles and udon soups, they're phenomenal. You get a free miso and Kim chi with it.
