At the time of writing this I am extremely annoyed.
I should preface by saying that I am a poor college student who ate at this st pierres location often. It was about as good as any other st pierres so I loved it. I have especially always loved the chicken katsu with mayonnaise.
However, today when I asked for two large chicken katsus (one for lunch and one to eat later) with mayo the lady at the counter motioned towards the katsu that was already made and I said that I don't want that one because there is no mayonnaise. She then said she could put mayonnaise on it, to which i said okay to because i didnt want to inconvenience her. The other katsu (i assumed was fresh) was not from the display. I watched as she dumped mayonnaise on the chickenI and of course had no issues with this.
I took the food to a place where i could sit and eat in peace. Once i took a bite of the food, the chicken was so hard i couldn't chew through it. The meat was also brown and discoloured while the crumbing was almost non existant. I dont want to know how long cooked chicken must sit out in order to become that disgusting. It was absolutely repulsive and a waste of $10.50. I assumed that was the one that had been sitting on display. I was a bit annoyed.
When i got home later I decided to try the other chicken katsu and unfortunately i ran into the exact same disgusting, inedible chicken.
I believe they put so much mayo on the food that I wouldn't notice how bad the chicken was.
I am extremely saddened and disappointed by this... I used to eat at this location often but now after the lockdown the katsu is genuinely inedible and I don't think I will be eating here anymore.
I will take my business elsewhere and I suggest to anyone not to order the chicken katsu until this has...
Read moreI ain't gonna come out here complaining about the food because we all know St Pierres will serve you average sushi for a price that won't make you want to burst into tears but ain't nobody gonna cheek a cheeky bargain ykmis. I just wanna say what noble act did Mr or Mrs Pierres do that earned them the title of saint?? Like wheres the church of the latter day saint Pierres, maybe that's exclusive to Japan. Anyway I've been trying to fill up my stamp card and the other day I strolled into this restaurant listening to my favourite Twista album "Mobstability" and got myself a value pack and a cheeky chocolate mochi. And the woman serving me refused to stamp my card, all because I got the value pack even though I spent over $12 dollars. Now alright don't go explaining the rules to me, I don't care about yo value pack rules even if it written at card, when you see a pale weak malnourished uni student walk into your establishment, you stamp his damn card. Unacceptable and disgraceful behaviour from this restaurant and very unlike the kind and hospitable nature of the Japanese people. Namaste, 2 stars...
Read moreI came in to buy sushi and was not happy with the experience. The staff were on their phones, didn't acknowledge anyone who walked in. I asked for a sushi of the day as it was not on display (and there was a sign at the front that said that they are happy to make any sushi that is not on display if you ask), and instead of giving me a response, two of the three staff laughed in my face and refused to make it. They did not explain why, they just continued to laugh as if I was not allowed to ask that question. Highly unprofessional behaviour from all the...
