Bianco off Queen Serviced Apartments — Hotel in Waitematā

I stayed at this hotel for business and was booked for at the last minute.  Upon entering my room, the kitchen was in a tidy state, however the carpets were badly stained, there were holes in the wall and bathroom floor had not been mopped and the light was out in the bathroom. There was mould in the washing machine and no plug in the sink I’m not sure how someone can thoroughly clean the bathroom with only one light working. Reading from some other reviews, this is not the first time that guests have seen this. The windows were very dirty and the fixtures very dated and really just need to be thrown out.

There is a Gentlemens club around the corner and this lead to late night loudness that went from 10:30pm - 02:30am each night (I stayed a Monday and Tuesday night). There was also the boy racers doing their circuits during the night.

There is wifi, but mobile data will work better.

Traveller tip - don’t stay here. If you really have no choice but to stay here - do not bring children. Bring plenty of ear plugs perhaps consider ear plugs AND noise cancelling headphones. Get plenty of sleep before you stay here, because it’s not likely you will...

DO NOT STAY HERE

My first time ever in Auckland: Firstly the receptionist on duty when we arrived was extremely unpleasant to deal with, not a single smile or “enjoy your stay” - she took our baggage to be stored while our room was getting cleaned. Once ready she brought our bags out and I completely forgot about my jacket and scarf - so did she. I paid for a room “with city view” and got put into a room on the ground floor that was right next to some big black building - no joke, it was about an arms length away! The room was so dark and dingy that I had no idea what was happening outside, I couldn’t see a single bit of sky or city.

To their credit, I complained and we got put into another room on the 8th floor.

Which brings me to the next problem. In an apartment building of 10 floors to have 1 lift in working order is unacceptable. We were constantly making Uber’s wait as the lift took at least 10 mins to get to the 8th floor- stopping at almost every floor on the way up and down.

The rooms were clean but certainly not to the standard you’d expect. The windows and doors were filthy...

This place is not as it seems someone hacked my account and used money to make a booking with Bianco off queen apparently made for Tuesday 26th to the 29th as reception has told me when I rang to ask why money had been taken out of my account on the 27th the following day. I don't get why if no one showed up and not used there facilities why they would do such a thing 485 dollars later.Then I did further investigation on what the hotel looked like and to my supprize it was the same place that my car had been robbed in the car park about 6 years ago where some Indian thugs had taken two suitcases that had a lot of valuables in it . And I know for fact because I was shown video footage and still to this day I have not heard anything of it. Here's where it gets interesting though to get in in car park you need swipe cards and swipe cards are usually monitored and if cards do not get returned from customers they are cancelled.
