We called numerous times to book and no answer. We emailed and got a response confirming booking. We arrived and they knew nothing of it. The waitress only took two of the guests drinks orders and had to call her back to get a child a drink, but she left before asking if I would like anything. The head waiter took our meals and I asked what sausage was in the Grill meal. He said pork. I ordered and when it arrived it was a cheese kransky?!?!? The scrambled eggs were so salty it was inedible. The whole dish was so salty I couldn't eat it. They kept looking over as to why I wasn't eating it, but never asked. When they cleared the child's plate I tried to order a juice...again and was ignored. Not coming back.
In response to response: You clearly did not attempt to accommodate -by definition.
*Wanted to order a juice: no. *Was informed about the meal clearly when asked: no *Was asked if everything was well with meal: No (everyone but me) Was treated with kindness, respect or care with our visit: (everyone but me)
Yes, I was non- verbally grumpy at the lack of acknowledging the booking for my aunt's birthday, however, never treated anyone with disrespectful language or behaviour.
Your "attempt to accommodate" was very poor as stated in the initial post. Do not try to post false statements. This now makes you also dishonest.
I appreciate your seriousness in reviewing the menu. Also perhaps laminate your menu's as they were paper with left over food, coffee and crayon on them. Pretty gross to be honest.
I realise you have just taken over the business, but please make a better effort to establish quality for this unique...
Read moreI never post a review but I had to. I got the vegan breakfast, which came with tofu, avocado and vegan hollandaise sauce. The avocado was well on its way to rotting as it had large brown patches all the way through. When I complained, on of the staff first tried to tell me that avocados are no in season, so it’s hard to get good ones and they didn’t know that what I got wasn’t good. I pointed out that the avocado was sliced, and so the chef knowingly served me a rotten avocado. The staff’s story then changed, and told me that it wasn’t rotten, it was burnt (the avocado was coated with a batter and pan fried). I’ve had avocado cooked like this before, and it doesn’t result in brown patches that taste like goo. I wouldn’t have posted this review if the staff were upfront about their negligence and tried to correct it. Instead, the staff made up excuses and were pandering. It was also odd how the staff kept talking to my husband, even though I was the one who was explaining what had happened. It’s a shame, this cafe used to be...
Read moreSloooooooooowwwwwww and ultimately disappointing. Waited for our food for about 30 mins…the first attempt to deliver the avocado toast was sans the poached eggs which had been ordered to accompany…and this was the only place I’ve maybe ever seen(?) which prioritized adult food while two kids were left waiting for their food after having ordered straight off the kids menu. Very strange. Also was quite cold with two different large glass doors being opened and closed as guests seemed repeatedly unsure of what the actual entrance was. We had to repeatedly get up from the table and close the large slider door fully as guests would often leave it cracked open enough for the icy breeze to continue its assault on the interior.. All of these issues are solvable with more focused management! There were plenty of employees milling about and bumping into one another....
