Gorilla Burger Petone — Restaurant in Wellington

Today, we visited Gorilla Burger in Petone, expecting the same great experience we’ve had at their other location. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst dining experience we’ve ever had.

We ordered a drink and food, planning to sit and eat . However, when we received our order, the onion rings and cauliflower bites had their sauce directly pour or thrown on top instead of being served separately in a container, would you let them ask soggy easily rather than staying a crispy, as we expected for a takeaway order. We took the food back and asked about it, but the staff insisted that this was their standard way of serving, as per instructions from their senior and area chefs.

When we brought up our concern with the shift staff, they simply said, “That’s our standard—if you don’t like it, don’t eat it.” The lack of customer service and dismissive attitude were completely unexpected. If you’re looking for a good experience, I would strongly advise against...

We came here for a Visa WOAP burger, we were disappointed because 1, the seating, which is under cover but outdoors was getting hammered by wind and rain, the area would benefit from those pvc/plastic window/windbreakers in the gaps and more heaters for that side. 2 we couldn't tell that gorilla burger and the union restaurant were separate from gorilla burgers side, so we went in there to look for a seat and were told that gorilla burger customers have to eat outside, even when we offered to buy our drinks and sides...
