I visited The Finishing Touch Salon regarding their skin rejuvenation lazer treatment as I am 50 years old,originally from South Africa and wanted a treatment that can fight the signs of ageing while simultaneously treating the appearance of open pores, fine lines and sun damage. The process started with Dermaplaning which resulted in a clear, soft skin. The lazer treatment itself were more intense that anything I have experienced before but the process definitely led to a large reduction in pigmentation and my skin was glowing after one week. I was told that up to six treatments would result in completely clear skin - basically remove all signs pigmentation and sun damage. The sensation of each laser impulse was quite mild - similar to a rubber band being flicked softly against the skin. I felt the laser more sharply on my nose and forehead (where there is less fat). My friend got me voucher for my birthday for this salon and I had different treatments done. The waxing was great, so was the massage. But I have been asked to come 15 minutes earlier to then having to wait half an hour which was very annoying. Everyone got tea but somehow they forgot (?) to offer it to me. And my nails were horrible, the young woman seemed like she had no idea what she was doing, everything was uneven and really bulky, when I pointed out that the thumb has something really uneven instead of taking it off she painted another layer on top which made it even bulkier. It also started coming off two days later, for this price unavailable. I also felt like because I had a voucher I wasn't a "real" customer, which is ridiculous as my friend paid $200. I am so thankful for Kathy and The Finishing Touch! I had just traveled to Wellington from Florida, USA. Unfortunately I did not have time For a manicure before I left for my trip, but luckily for me the staff at the Intercontinental recommended this spa. I walked in without an appointment to see if they might have time available, and Kathy set an appointment for me as I was clearly in need of a manicure. I returned and was warmly greeted and provided a latte. Kathy is clearly a very talented and knowledgeable technician and owner. She even provided me with some extra knowledge and tips for my nail care back home. My French manicure is amazing and was done exactly how I like it (very narrow white line).
