Subway — Restaurant in Whau

We went to subway 7.15pm on 15/08/25.

My husband went in to order the subways as per the promotion : $27 for 2 subways and 2 drinks.

At the time of the payment when showed the voucher my husband was told my manager Buddhima that the promotion is a scam and subway is scamming people. She said you need to have $3 in your card to avail the promotion?? He ended up paying full price as the promotion which we had was useless.

When my husband came out, I told him to go check again as $3 condition will not apply and nothing mentioned in terms and conditions.

He went in again and lady at counter greeted him with ‘oh my god he came in again’ Which was very unpleasant and unprofessional. He went to check in if they apply promotion correctly with two drinks which they showed him and it did not work. Lady working with Buddhima started arguing with him. He was treated very impolitely and was told not to come to subway again.

Whole thing is recorded in your camera from staff telling SUBWAY IS SCAM to telling my husband to NOT COME AGAIN.

My first job in NZ was with Subway and not a single time ever I was rude to my customers. The staff at Subway Kelston was very rude including manager Buddhima and her co member.

We owe an apology as this not only ruined our dinner but also...

Came here for my birthday lunch. Brought 2 subs and asked to use my free drink and cookie. I asked which size and the lady said yes to the one I grabbed. Placed 2 cookies in the bag and then tried to charge me for it all. I asked again if I could use my free cookie and drink. They made me swap drink sizes even after I confirmed which size came with the deal (ok fine, understandable), then the staff had the audacity to take the time to put a glove on and take the 2nd cookie out of the bag. Happy Birthday to me I guess.. zzz. Where's the professional curtiousy.. too greedy to give the 1 extra cookie on my birthday? After all it was your worker made the mistake????

On another note, way to greedy withholding ingredients.. 3 tomatoes and 4 cucumbers on a footlong? And 3-4 pieces of spininch on a 6inch????????? Really....

Back in the day they would put a decent amount of meat and veg, now it's just disgusting for the price they charge...

I haven't been to subway in about 10 years. With all the options available, this just doesn't occur to me.

Gosh! When did a sandwich become more $20+ I was shocked. But it is not the fault of the store, inflation has reached every corner of the world.

It's a lot cheaper if you take 2 x sub of the day, instead of a footlong menu sub. It is good value for money.

The two Indian ladies were vert patient while I looked through every single sandwich and every description, to familiarise myself with the menu again.

Their bread is delicious as always. The three peppered chicken was soft and tasty. I love the veggies they put on and I chose garlic aioli and blue cheese sauce. It was a very satisfying sandwich.

The store was clean and presentable. I got a parking right outside. The ladies were friendly...
