HUA HAN Korean/Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Ikeja

Had my private birthday dinner here and it was okay, just that at the time of my visit which was a Monday evening they had only two guest which made it a little boring..

So, navigating the place was not so easy, using the location they put on Google maps.. I had to call the restaurant to give us a better direction after I noticed we were lost and they did...

We got there and the decor was really welcoming, they had different rooms that u can choose from. We were immediately welcomed by the courteous waitress and given the menu.. But I didn't understand why they didn't want me to take pictures of their menu ( awkward).. I didn't knw what to order and all the picture options in the menu looked inviting 😋 I was trying to play it safe and not order what I won't like😕😕.. The waitress really helped in making a choice, but I only liked the fried rice, the chicken sauce wasn't spicy atal (and as a Yoruba girl, that's an abomination) 😂😂😂. The sauce was nice and rich, I lived the way they brought it in on the hot plate boiling, but still wasn't spicy😭...

I later did longer throat and ordered their Singapore noodles cos I've been craving Singapore noodles for weeks.. When They brought it, I wasn't impressed at all😒😒it was almost tasteless and I hated the way they broke the noodles into smaller sizes.. But the drinks were on point, really chilled. Then it was time to pay and they hit us with service charge and tax which was like 20% of our food or so😒😒.. Spent 30k on dinner for two people.. They have me a pack to take away my remaining food...

It's really pretty and cosy. But, probably needs some tweaking outside of aesthetics.

We went there with a sense of adventure - To try out some Korean cuisine. However, after a couple of dishes we wanted to order weren't available, we chickened out and went for more 'recognisable' food.

The waiters didn't also seem to be able to recommend dishes for us to try.

Then, when my food came, it felt incomplete. I was expecting the main dish to be a combination of squid and prawns with a side of rice, but, it was the opposite. Except without any prawns in sight. I only even remembered on the way out and decided to let it go.

My friends dish was also underwhelming, to say the least. So, for their prices... No.

Then, drinks. I don't believe from my experience that cocktails are their strength. Also, we had the issue of some drinks we wanted not being available at first. Even one or two on the Korean menu.

We settled for something called 'Jinro'. It tasted like overdiluted vodka, basically.

When the bill came, they taxed us twice. VAT and LST (whatever it is), on top of the service charge. Didn't like this. THEN, I noticed the following day that the waiter who charged us took the liberty of round up the bill to the nearest .000. Needless to say, I was mortified.

Maybe I'll go again... But,...

Hey guys !, it been a while. Oh, boy! , I have a story to tell you about my recent experience at this Korean restaurant! I walked in feeling hungry and left feeling like I was on cloud nine. Here's the scoop: First off, the decor was absolutely stunning. The walls were covered in a vibrant mural that made me feel like I had been transported to Seoul. Moving on let's talk about the food. Oh, the food! I ordered the pasta with shredded chicken, and it was like a party in my mouth. The combination of flavors was so so delicious, I did my food dance 😂, if you know you know.And the portion size? Let's just say I could barely waddle out of there afterward. But the real showstopper was the ramen noodles . it was so good that I was considering asking for a second bowl. You should try the bubble tea as well….this I like it but I can’t say the same for some people 😂. I tried the fish fillet too but it was way too sweet like it was made with sugar 🤧 Overall, this restaurant is an absolute gem. If you're looking for a fun and delicious dining experience, look no further. We met the owner or the supervisor…..I don’t know sha, but she was so nice and welcoming, she took pictures with us , because she liked the whole hijab vibe 😎, with all being said …..I give it five stars and a standing...
