Boca Restaurant and Pool Bar — Restaurant in Lagos State

I am writing to share my recent experience at Boca Lagos on the 7th of September, when I visited with my family. I had looked forward to a memorable and exceptional time, but unfortunately, it turned out to be quite embarrassing.

Before my visit, I requested and received a copy of Boca’s photography policy. Nowhere in the policy was it stated that personal cameras were not allowed for taking pictures outside the building.However, when I attempted to take a photo with a friend’s digital camera, I was stopped by the staff. Despite politely explaining that I had come to Nigeria to enjoy the Boca experience and create lasting memories, I was dismissed and treated in a manner that made me feel unvalued as a customer.

What made this more disheartening was knowing that the same spot where I was restricted from taking pictures has been used freely by several celebrities. This inconsistency in treatment felt discriminatory and left me feeling segregated, as though ordinary guests like myself are not given the same respect or privilege.

This experience affected me deeply, not only because my evening was ruined but also because customer satisfaction seemed to be disregarded. Everyone deserves to be treated equally and with respect, regardless of their status.

It is such a shame to have to write this. Because I had an all round good experience my very first time at Boca. My family of 5 was there yesterday and we got the most appalling service from a very inattentive waitress.

I ordered the dynamite shrimp that I had had before, it was not fresh and tasted weird. My little cousin got the butterfly shrimp plate but wanted to get more sauce for the mashed potatoes. For one of the most expensive main meals on their menu, it was very mediocre. Our drinks came late, first bites came late, main meal came late, and of course the bill had to come late too. Took a while for them to have the leftovers packed up. We also had a fly problem

We couldn’t get the waiter’s attention in time for her to rectify any of the issues we had with our meal or visit.

The beef sliders everyone seems to like in the other reviews came with a stale bun.

After spending over 300k went home dissatisfied and quite aggrieved. I have reached out to the person who takes reservations over whatsapp with my grievances, and he promises to look into it. I guess that should make up for our utter...

Very rude receptionist I went their for my birthday and came with a canon g7x mark iii she said camera isn’t allowed but because it’s my birthday I could snap with my phone or sit and snap with the camera which I did I stayed there for some time after eating I noticed the place was already empty then I took just few pictures it wasn’t even up to 1min then we stopped paid our bills then left.remember this was my first time in their restaurant obviously if I had know pictures aren’t allowed or I’m supposed to go through another Chanel to make that possible I would’ve or probably go to another restaurant so today my friend that snapped me went there and the receptionist embarrassed him saying you’ve been bounded from Boca and today he wasn’t even with camera because he now knows their rules this is so sad and embarrassing next time please write no pictures allowed so everyone can see even before making a reservation by bouncing him away from the restaurant is totally unacceptable because he wasn’t even with camera or anything he just came to link up...
