Review of KI Restaurant: March 2024

Located in the heart of Victoria Island, KI offers a tantalizing array of Asian cuisine. However, despite the mouthwatering dishes, the experience falls far short due to abysmal service.

My recent encounter with KI only reinforced the negative reputation that precedes it. Despite intending to host a large party there previously, the prevailing warnings about their service prompted me to seek an alternative venue.

Attempting to place a simple order over the phone turned into a 30-minute ordeal, with repeated attempts to reach them on three different numbers. Eventually, after placing the order for four dishes and arranging for a timely pickup at 7 PM, chaos ensued.

Despite the ample time they had to prepare, when my driver arrived promptly at the agreed-upon time, the manager was conveniently unavailable. It's perplexing that only one person seemed privy to the details of my order. After a frustrating delay and repeated explanations, my driver was finally dispatched with the incorrect order, blaming a mix-up with another similar order. The lack of accountability and genuine apology from the staff was appalling.

Compounding the issue, some of the dishes, notably the prawns, were not suitable for prolonged exposure and had to be remade. This only exacerbated the delay, leaving me famished and exasperated.

Even more disappointing was the manager's cavalier attitude and lack of communication with his team. His tardy response and indifferent demeanor further underscored the systemic issues plaguing KI's service.

To add insult to injury, the manager's attempt at humor or compensation by requesting my address late at night to deliver the incorrect order bordered on absurdity.

In summary, while KI's culinary offerings may tantalize the taste buds, their glaring lack of professionalism and hospitality undermines any gastronomic delights. The owner would be wise to prioritize addressing these glaring service deficiencies before they face the dire consequences of losing clientele to competitors who understand the value of exceptional...

As a frequent visitor of this place i was extremely shocked at what happened to me today. I attempted to visit your establishment to have dinner with my friends, and unfortunately, I encountered a series of issues that left me feeling frustrated and embarrassed.

Upon arrival, I was not given any assistance with parking by the security men at the entrance. Instead, I was directed to park across the road in front of an apartment building. However, the security man there chased me away. I was left to find another parking spot on my own.

To make matters worse, the security man for your restaurant who initially seemed helpful suddenly stopped being so and walked away as if I didn't matter. I even pressed my horn to get his attention, but he ignored me completely. This was very embarrassing, especially with other customers and passersby watching. Eventually, my friends and I had my leave, my friend who was already inside also had to leave because at this point it was obvious that we wasn't going to be able to park.

I believe that as a restaurant, customer service is a critical part of the business. It was disappointing to see that the security personnel at your establishment were not willing to assist me, and that their behavior left me feeling frustrated and...

🌺So, ki lagos is a nice place to be. I’ve been there twice now and I liked it both times. Lovely ambience, wonderful service, delicious food. I had their chicken dumplings, my first place trying dumplings and I loved it. My second time trying it too, I liked it. I don't have anything to rate against but in terms of food being good, 4/5. I also had their Firecracker rice, the sauce and chicken was so very good!!! It was rich and there was a lot of chicken in it. They’re also very generous with their servings and the meal filled me up, most definitely. I like their drinks too. Had the Long Island tea in my last visit.

I had their California rolls too and I really didn’t like that 😂😭😭. I might try sushi again in the future but for now, nope 😂😂😂

All in all, was a nice experience, another restaurant ticked...
