It was a harrowing experience on the night of 21 May 2022. Had booked and organised a small get together for staff of Globacom. Was astonished to find upon reaching Woks (the restaurant), the disorganised, unconcerned and unprofessional seating arrangement for the guests. One small square table was attached with two larger circular tables on its sides, with wall fixed straight sitting on one side, and independant chairs on the other, which was an extremely inconvenient arrangement for the guests to sit, reach the table, and be able to enjoy their meals, and the evening. After getting personally involved and demanding change, I was able to get the circular tableat one end replaced with two square tables, and bringing in some sense of alignment. No initiative was forthcoming or evident from the Management or the staff, to replace the other circular table, defeating the very logic and purpose of sitting dinner for a larger group.||||The serving staff lacked both interest and initiative, apart from adequate training and professionalism, and had to be summoned time and again, to refill the peanut bowls, charge drinks, remove empty beer bottles, remove empty appetizer dishes etc. More time was spent on this task, than enjoying our evening and dinner peacefully.||||The food was nothing great to talk about. The serving portions were meagre, in relation to the prices charged. When the appetizers were served, no fork or tong was provided to take the dish, and the staff had to be reminded time and again, for the same.||||The ambience at the sitting place was more like a crowded market. The serving staff gathered and grouped around the seating space and the bar, eating into limited space and also restrcting movement. The music was too load, such that it was becoming difficult to talk to and hear each other. The speaker was placed on the bar counter, nearly at the ear level of sitting guests, instead of being fixed in a corner closer to ceiling and farther away from the seating. Finally had to ask the staff to turn it off.||||A good evening planned, for a small group, was spoilt royally, by staff and management who displayed lack of both professionalism and empathy.||||Would never even think about going there again. There are much better places in the near vicinity, for the fun of being in your group can be better enhanced, by better professional teams. I will exercise...

I call Blowfish the hotel that never sleeps(i will tell you why below 😃).This hotel is Located in Victoria Island. The Blowfish Hotel is an old cozy hotel and is moderately priced. I am giving the service a five star and will gladly give more stars for the service.I am giving the location a five star too in terms of accessibility, nice environment and security. I am giving the rooms a three star only because it is an old hotel and you may not experience the sheer luxury you are used to.But Blowfish makes up for this with the staff and quality of service provided.

This hotel never sleeps as there is always an interesting activity going on.It is open to the public as you do not have to be a guest in the hotel to use their restaurants ...and they have really nice ones. You will find Purpil(never used that), La Veranda for Italian cuisine, Woks for Asian Cuisine and Sea Bass restaurant for Mediterranean cuisine. A guest is served breakfast in Sea Bass restaurant.Compared to other breakfast menu elsewhere,Blowfish has an impressive menu. You will be spoilt for choice as it is not just the usual fruits and pastry.

The heart and engine room of any organisation are the staff. As a guest, you will definitely encounter Wisdom and his team;Godwin,John and Benjamin when you come down for breakfast at Sea Bass. They are simply the best and quite helpful with your preferences for breakfast. Wisdom and Godwin are hospitality personified.

At the front desk,Nelly and Joshua are there to ensure that you have no...

The Blowfish Hotel offers a unique blend of comfort, style, and hospitality that makes it one of the standout hotels in Lagos. From the moment you arrive, you are welcomed by a warm and professional team that sets the tone for a memorable stay. The hotel has a modern and vibrant atmosphere, with a touch of luxury that appeals to both business and leisure travelers. The rooms are spacious, well-furnished, and thoughtfully designed to ensure comfort. Cleanliness and attention to detail are evident, and the amenities provided make the stay hassle-free. Whether you are there for work or relaxation, the environment is conducive to both. One of the highlights of The Blowfish Hotel is its dining experience. The restaurant offers a diverse menu with both local and international dishes, all prepared with high standards of quality. The poolside dining area adds a refreshing touch, making it a perfect spot to unwind after a long day. The breakfast buffet is generous, with a variety of choices that cater to different tastes. The hotel also stands out for its entertainment options. With its lively bar, serene pool area, and occasional live music, guests can enjoy a vibrant social scene without leaving the premises. Security and location are also commendable, with the hotel situated in a central yet peaceful area of Lagos. Overall, The Blowfish Hotel combines convenience, relaxation, and excitement. It is an excellent choice for travelers seeking comfort with a touch of elegance in the heart of Lagos.

I went to the Sea Bass restaurant, because we wanted Sea food. It was suggested to us by the management, as it's a Mediterranean restaurant, and we'd get healthy sea food. It was simply a beautiful experience. The owners are very hands-on with their business, and it's such a commendable trait, I must say, and I suppose it set the tone for how their staff conducted themselves. Quite attentive to your needs, even refilling my water for me, which was quite sweet of them, by the way. I had the Tabouleh and Lebanese bread. I was quite skeptical about it, but it was nice. I'm really bad at trying out new food, so that actually went well. I also liked the fried, crusty bread, and the dip. It was really nice, and quite filling. The prawns were also really nice, at least my friend loved them. Unfortunately, my inability to really do new food interfered here, so I packed it for someone at home who has a taste for prawns, and he loved it!. So yeah, purrrfect customer service, and good food, and such a lovely ambience. What more could a person possibly want? PS: And when I tagged them on my IG story, they actually reposted. I really liked that. It shows that they really do pay attention to everything. Quite marvellous!

I gave the below review when I stayed at the property last year during which I gave low rating and review due to the then condition of the hotel. However, when I stayed at the hotel this week, I am really impressed by the changes made after the renovation work done_ both in the individual rooms and common areas. I am also impressed by the attentiveness of the waiters who serve breakfast. If I could suggest one more improvement, it would pertain to the staffs at the reception who often have a frown face, unwelcoming attitude and pure luck of proactiveness to attend clients. Except that, I am happy with the positive changes that happened and I feel good to have given Blowfish a second chance and witness the significant improvement. Thank you, -------------------------- Though the local staffs at the restaurant are good, the supervisors don't have the attitude and capacity to handle client requests. I rated at place VERY POOR due to the untidy room, conformable bed, gloomy not properly lit & air-conditioned corridors, and the extremely loud music from the bar which often extends till mid night and beyond. I don't recommend this place and will never come back to this hotel again.
