Hakuna Matata Theme Park By Eko Hotels — Local services in Lagos State

The road leading to the entrance of hakuna matata is a bit bumpy because it is not tarred.Getting in at the gate to the game place was a bit hectic. The crowd was enomorous, and there was just one payment point, which was stressful. I feel the officials there were overwhelmed. Parking was tight because there were so many cars. After payment, you get tagged, and at the entrance, the number on your hand tag is scanned. The entrance fee was N25,000 per head. With the payment, you can go on all slides. Please note that the gate fee is exclusive of whatever you're buying when you get inside.

There were loads of fun activities for both adults and kids. For example, different slides, train rides,  horse train rides,  snooker, table tennis, face painting

Inside the play ground there were various food vendors selling suya, barbecue chicken, drinks, water,  cake, snacks ,food (fries, burgers, rice, amala (in my opinion food was expensive with some vendors. A vendor sold meat pie for N2,000.

A canpoy was provided for seats out, but seats were very limited. Under the canopy, kids get to colour and paint.

There's also a daycare where you can drop off kids not old enough to go on any of the slides. There was a register where sign for pick up and drop off. Kids are also tagged.

Trash is picked up intermittently, and the floor is swept. Ground was clean most of the time.

No visible ATM or POS operator to collect cash. Payments are made via transfer or to the various vendor using their Pos machine.

If you're going on the water rides, ensure you have a change of clothes because you would get wet. Kids/adults can go there preferably with their swimsuit. The toilets were you change do not have doors, only a shower curtain. Ensure you take socks along if you want to go on any of the slides.

Owners of hakuna matata need to be better organised. There should be a lot of payment points. I don't know if online payment is available. If no, then provision has to be made for this.

Also, there were no visible lifeguards in the water slides. This is not acceptable.

Opens at 2pm on weekdays and closes at 9pm. While on weekends...

I am only giving this rating for the staff reception and service offering. The staff reception was blank and not encouraging. My experience... A friend told me about this place and I was told I could go there with my kids and be allowed to enter as a 'guider'. I had no intention of playing any single game or participating in any activities. The idea was to let 3 kids and their mum have all the fun while I sit somewhere with their belongings. (I even planned to do some work related stuff while there). But unfortunately I was told at the gate that I must pay for myself even if I do not participate. I asked , "what about being a guide" and I was told that was allowed some days ago and not now. I wasn't dressed for anything and my wife isn't liking the idea that I drop them off and come back later. There was this guilt of wastefulness if I have to pay for myself and not do anything. Disappointingly we left for another fun place.

I just feel there should have been a discount or consideration for parents who wish not to participate in any game. Moreover I wasn't sure if there was anything for me in there and the staff made no effort at all to justify why it makes sense to pay for myself and not do anything.

I plan to go back sometime in the future (This time more prepared). Maybe after then, i will...

I had wayyy too much fun here. It’s an amusement park with lots of rides and activities for both adults and children such as the carousel, bounce house, water slides, trampolines, inflatable water parks, obstacle games, swimming pool etc.

The activities are divided into wet zone and dry zone. It’s advisable to do the dry games first before heading to the wet games. The staff were very friendly and helpful in picking games and even helping with videos.

You’re not allowed to bring in food/drinks. There are vendors to buy from in the park. Make sure to go with a swimming trunk and a pair of socks. You can also buy socks at the park. The park opens 11am and...
