Love the place ,
review from my 10 year old: I went to a restaurant named Vanilla Moon on 25th December with my parents and one of my fathers' friend for lunch. We reached Vanilla Moon around 13:30 in the afternoon. We sat at a high table. The ambience was nice, but that day being Christmas, there was no Christmas decoration. It felt like we had come on an ordinary day to have lunch. The only thing they had outside was a Christmas tree overloaded with ornaments. For the food we had ordered the starters, it was Moon Wings, Mushroom bao buns and Jalapeno Croquettes. For drinks, I had La Laune et Rose, which was a mocktail and the adults had Sangria with fruits. The starters arrived in a short time. We started off eating the Moon Wings. The Moon Wings were chicken wings, barbecued in a sweet and spicy sauce and topped with sesame seed and fresh pomegranate. The chicken wings were delicious! I just couldn't stop eating them! The chicken was really soft, and the pomegranate was giving a really nice flavor and taste. The only thing I didn't like was that it was a little messy to eat since the sauce was all over the chicken. But other than that, it was amazing. Next, we had the Mushroom bao buns. I didn't really like the mushroom bao buns because the bao bun is supposed to be really soft, and here, the bao bun was kind of hard. The mushroom filling was good, not great. It was way too spicy. I would not recommend it. The Jalapeno Croquettes were really nice. It was really soft, and if you're a cheese lover, like I am, you're going to like it. Moving to the drinks, the La Laune et Rose, which I had was amazing! It had a really nice litchi flavour. I would definitely recommend it. For our main course, we had Fettuccine Alfredo and Saffron Curry with rice. The Fettuccine Alfredo pasta was nice. It was very creamy and soft to eat. If you're a pasta lover like I am, you're going to love it! Highly recommended. Now, moving on to our very last dish, the Saffron Curry with rice was nice. The curry was perfect and had a lot of creaminess to it. Overall, the place was really nice.

Read moreThe setting is quite mellow and soothing. I liked the low lights making silhouettes of the moon at different stages on the wall and the mood it gave everything. We made reservations for a friend's birthday dinner and we had a great time. A fantastic time even.
Their meals were delish and properly prepared (nothing bleeding for no reason, no stone disguised as meat, nothing burnt or too salty, etc.), the drinks were so gorgeously presented that we quickly took photos before sipping, lol. And they had decent enough music, though I'd have preferred a slightly different playlist. But that's just me... Their prices aren't outrageous and if you order different platters and eat as a group, you could walk away with happy tummies. The service of the waiters and waitresses was great too. They smiled and were warm and didn't give attitude when asked for small favors (like taking a group picture, for instance). A couple of them came out to give our friend the cake and stuff and they were smiling like they genuinely were happy she was alive and not like we paid for them to
The toilet was impeccably clean (because that's very important). It was also well lit and decorated (for toilet selfie lovers, hehe).
I think they are trying to expand because there were roofing sheets blocking off some part outside and there were planks jutting out on the walkway (which was a bit dangerous) but I figure they should be gone now. I didn't notice any wheelchair accessible entrances but that may be because I wasn't looking out for it. I'm not certain they have or don't.
In summary, it's hands down one of my best restaurant experience I've had. Unfortunately, most of the photos are our selfies so it may not help...
Read moreThis is the first place in lagos where i found authentic European cuisine
Garlic bread - the way they make the garlic bread is different than others. The cheese and the garlic paste is in between the bread so with every bite you can actually taste all the flavours of cheese and garlic.
Burger sliders - it is a unique concept of charcoal based bread they serve for the the burger. The burger had a filling of leafy vegetables patty , the standard aloo patty and one with a broccoli patty.
Margarita rustica - pizza here they serve is in oval shape. Tomato and basil had it taste. You could get that taste even on the crust of it.
Poutine - imo poutine was a bit dry. They could have made it better. The poutine should be covered with cheese and mayonnaise but it was to dry
Rainbow salad - i am not a fan of salad , but i tried it tho. They served just freshly chopped rainbow color vegetables. Could have been better with dressing over it.
Penne arrabbiata - This is the place if you wanna taste authentic pasta. THE RED SAUCE PASTA was sumptuous. The tomato paste and chllis were perfectly blended with the pasta giving a perfect taste to it
Last but not the least
Cheesecake biscoff - i dont know about other places but i jave had the best cheese cake here. That tenderness of cheesecake and the taste of it , it was lovely
There might be very good meat and chicken options as i am vegetarian i am sorry cannot help you with that.
