To start the location was easy to get to. It's on the Landmark Beach boardwalk and there is parking available. They also have valet parking and curbside pickup and drop off. Before even entering the restaurant you have to wear a mask and fill out an online survey to make sure the place stays covid safe, which I can appreciate. The hostest and the bouncer at the door were very polite and wore mask each time we've gone here and they give hand sanitizer. The inside is very spacious so the tables were spread apart again covid safe. The menu has a good variety of food and almost everything we ordered we enjoyed. The Mac n cheese was a little more creamy than I would have liked but thats just me. The suya was very good, as was the jollof rice which we got each time. The chicken fajitas I enjoyed and came out sizzling. I really like the One night in Bangkok shrimp dish and the shrimp we a good size not small at all. The also have an outdoor area where there is bar and the dj keeps the jams coming. For 2 people our bill was about $80 usd which included 1 drink each and several dishes to share. Also they take international credit cards which is a major plus for anyone coming from another country. Overall great experience with some cool artist memorabilia including Michael Jackson! We will definitely come back especially during the evening!
Updating the review after going here again! I really love the space here and they're actually upgrading and adding a pool area, which will add a nice touch to the Landmark Boardwalk.
This time we got other than the Rice and Suya tried the chicken and avocado Flatbread and it was truly delicious. They added a gaming area with a Playstation, which us great if you have children or want to enjoy some drinks with friends. The place wasn't busy during the time we went, but I know in the evenings it's typically busier. This time after our meal that our awesome waiter Victor served us the Manager Tejasvi came over to our table to ask if we needed anything or how our experience was. Overall we really enjoy coming here and bonus is they take international credit cards for anyone not from Nigeria.
This will always be a place we visit whenever I'm in Lagos! Thanks for the...
Read moreAfter a mediocre meal with slow service, no one to follow up on if we wanted more drinks and no one bothering to ask how our food was. When it was time to present the bill, no one seemed to know what to do. After at least twenty minutes and several requests by more than one person, several bills were finally presented. Eventually a correct bill was presented. This was on a slow Friday during the very early evening when more servers then patrons were in the restaurant.
It appears as if a change of management has occurred and that the current management is out of their depth in knowing how to manage their staff, follow up on orders, ask if the food and service is satisfactory and finally, to present a bill of fare in a timely fashion.
After having eaten here no fewer then 10 or so times in the past 5 years, it seems as if HRC has hit a new low. It won't be first on my list of places to return, which is unfortunate. It's location, beach, pool and menu are nice. Too bad it can't get its act together otherwise.
In a previous review from a year prior, I wrote: " Very good food, expensive but good. Service is variable. We had a good server who knows we tip well. The hostess who seated us claims there is a 100,000 Niara minimum if you wish to use the Cabanas, even at a time (12 pm on Sunday) when only 1 out of the 10 Cabanas were in use. Would have given 4 stars if she had been more pleasant or if we did not have to convince her that sitting us at the Cabanas would be OK. Nothing about a minimum Cabana charge could I find on the website or menu. But apart from that, it is a pleasant with good food and drinks."
The owner writes below his response to this post.
Hard Rock has definitely slipped downhill. It can't really justify its prices for the poor service it provides. But given its location, it will still attract those that enjoy their food and want to be seen. But don't expect a great meal every...
Read moreUpon entering Hard Rock Cafe, I was immediately struck by the rock-and-roll theme and music memorabilia displays that adorn the walls. The atmosphere was lively and energetic, with a sense of fun and excitement that I found appealing. As I settled into my table, I perused the menu and found a variety of American-style dishes, with burgers and fries being the most popular items. The drinks menu was equally impressive, with an extensive list of cocktails, beer, and wine.
However, as I waited for my order to arrive, I couldn't help but notice that the service seemed slow and disorganized. I watched as waitstaff rushed around the busy dining room, struggling to keep up with the demand for food and drinks. This issue seemed to be compounded by the fact that the establishment was also hosting a live music performance that night, which made the already noisy environment even louder.
Despite the slow service and noise level, the food that eventually arrived at my table was delicious. The burgers were juicy and flavorful, and the fries were crispy and well-seasoned. I also enjoyed my cocktail, which was expertly mixed and beautifully presented.
That being said, the prices were noticeably higher than other dining options in the area, which might make it a less appealing choice for some customers. Additionally, the noise level in the restaurant during the live music performance was almost overwhelming, making it difficult to hold a conversation or relax.
In summary, while it offers a unique and fun dining experience, there are some areas where improvement is needed. The slow service and high prices could deter some customers, while the noise level during live music performances might be too much for others. However, for those who are willing to overlook these issues, the food and drinks are...
