Kuḱa — Restaurant in Municipality of Centar

AMAZING! A restaurant of real contrasts. Most importantly, the food here is real local cuisine and is simply superb - the best meal out I have eaten in many months. Weirdly, this restaurant is stuck in the corner of the Holiday Inn car park and you share the outdoor dining space with local stray dogs and cats, but don't let that out you off. The place is scrupulously clean, including the toilets. The waiting staff were very attentive. We were the only foreigners in the place but they have an English menu too. Portion sizes are generous, even the small salads are huge and the fresh soft bread is to die for. The quality of the meat and the way they cook it chargrilled is so good, I'm smiling as I write this remembering it still. Forget the trendy bars and restaurants on the river front. After driving for a long time to arive in North Macedonia, I parked my car up and wanted to grab a snack and a cold beer, the the Carpark attenden recommend the place right next door, at this time I hadn't check the Google reviews yet, but boy do I agree. The food is fresh and tasty, the prices are far beyond reasonable, the service is immaculate, When I first sat down I was trying to sort out my Esim, the frustartion must have been obvious, because the owner swiftly aided me in my research and showed me where I could get a 300gb data only sim plan for just a £5 which will definitely be enough, I'm genuinely impressed by the kindness and sincerity of this place, don't listen to the haters this place is...

As a local, I can say it’s NOT the same quality of the food as always. You don’t know what to expect next time if you come back again. One time is good cooked, the next three times is awful. Overcooked, not cooked, burned or reduced quantity. So, never same. If you sit on the terrace, you also eat a bit of the dust that comes from the construction site that is right next. This place is not what it supposed to be before. Different owner, different stuff, different worse experience. So if you want to try some traditional food, I would not recommend it to you this place.
