The food was ok. The service was ok and the dishes were clean.....but....BUT....!
There were 2 kids (16yrs old) trying to celebrate birthday and drink some coffee and order some food here. One of the girls was bringing gift with chocolates to the other girl. Lovely to see the friendship level. Nvm...they entered the place, they took a sit at the table beside me and guess what? That rude female waiter approached and told them that this is a dining area and if they want to drink some coffee they should do that outside in the outer part. It was -30 on the outside. There wasn't any single person that was sitting there. Those kids wanted to eat! They asked for the food! They really wanted to eat! But guess what? The rude female waiter told them again that all of the tables are reserved. None of these things were true. The poor girls left the place dissapointed.... No one was sitting on that table for the whole night. The place wasn't full either. There were empty tables everywhere. That was so rude! I instantly wanted to stand up too.....that was so rude!
I was dressed in a suit that night...celebrating life moments. The same waitress was very polite to me....making weird fake smiles and fake polite actions and services for the whole night while I was taking my orders. Why so polite? Because I'm dressed in a suit? Because I ordered many things? Because I have more money than those kiddos? Well done about that! I would have given 0 stars to this place if they were available.
Respect for the chef only. The food that I ate was actually ok. But the steak was a bit dry...
Read moreRACIST STAFF!! We were not served because we spoke Albanian!! Me and my family went to Skopje yesterday from our holidays in Pristina, Kosovo to see the city and sat down in Bella Vista. When we ordered the waiter took our order politely and then we´ve waited for an hour without getting served or informed that the order is taking longer. As we complained about not being served the waiter said the team in the kitchen has changed and that we would get our food in 10 minutes. Another 10 minutes later we asked when it would be ready and we were given another 10 minutes. The strange thing was that when other guests arrived they would be served quickly and without hesitation while we had to wait. When we wanted to leave without getting served we were asked to pay the bill for the food we did not receive and would be getting looks from the bald headed managers sitting in the restaurant. When we later sat down in a restaurant in the old town we were told that Albanians and people speaking Albanian, like we did with our parents, would not be served by restaurants in the south side of...
Read moreAverage at best... But mostly awful. Set in the centre of delightful Skopje and within a 5 minute walk of some great restaurants and bars, I struggle to understand why this place exists. The service was surly, the atmosphere unfathomable - Viennese deco with loud electro pop music - and the food mostly average. The low point was a local speciality, which is usually delicious. (Uvijaci are succulent pork (or chicken) rolled meat wrapped in bacon and stuffed with cheese). Mine was so tough I struggled to pull a knife through it, the cheese had completely dried out. From àwawmhahmwHMHmahmlMMamhAWHMaàÀ it was supposed to be like that 'its pork'(!) When I cut it open to show him the shrivelled insides and absence of cheese he took it away. I had hoped to bring me a fresh one... It returned a few minutes later, the same dish but with a fresh cheese stuffing. Avoid and choose one of the neighboring restaurants by the river or in the square, or venture over the old bridge for some...
