We had lunch at Guandong House Restaurant today and we were very impressed with our meals. We wanted something with lots of vegetables and the owner/chef patiently ran through some options. I had the curry chicken which came with bamboo shoots, broccoli, carrot, mushrooms, water chestnuts, onion and cabbage. I ordered the lunch size plate which was a very generous serve. Read moreIf you want great food and great service, great atmosphere, this is the place. It's cheap. The lunch meals are large enough to get filled, and the menu is large enough to please any taste.
It's a cozy small restaurant located in a pedestrian zone mid-town, so there are no cars or anything that might interfere the atmosphere. It's simple but nice, nothing overdone like the many other chinese restaurants, which I find great.
Among the many, this is the only Chinese restaurant in town I attend to regularly. It's my favourite, and I love it.

In terms of the service, the waiter is very polite and meets the customer in a polite manner. It's no burden to ask a small question as long as you're polite.
