Have to give this a five star.. It's a little half hidden oase, where they make true Etheopian dishes.. the place is not that big, seven smaller tables, but done in a cosy way, so u truely feel relaxed and welcome.. I never tried Etheopian food before, but it was delicious, and got served in a way I have not tried before, where u where eating with your hands.. But no worries the friendly and smiling host, are there to help u all the way, both on what way to eat it and the technics.. and u felt almost as if at home.. I was very happy with my visit there, and will just say this.. go and try it, especially if your tired of all the boring same same Norwegian food or pizzas they normally serve u here, I'm pretty sure u will...

Found this little gem using Google. The street and local area it is situated in is lovely with some unusual shops, cobbled streets and interesting alleys. The café/restaurant itself is tiny but very inviting. We ordered the shared plate for two which is enormous, as we hadn't tried Ethiopian food before and fancied a little taste of everything. We loved the food, so tasty and filling. The young woman who served us was delightful and the chef guy came out to check we were enjoying the food, he was lovely too. We also tried the Ethiopian coffee which was very intense and earthy, but also refreshing. All in all one of the best meals we've had in Bergen and a reasonable price too...can...

Lovely little Ethiopian café and restaurant. We had coffee served in a traditional coffee pot - strong black coffee sweetened by the optional white sugar on the side. A small bowl of snacks came with on the side.

The food here is amazing as well, particularly the Ethiopian savoury pancake with meat and/or vegetables that you eat with your hands.

The staff were really warm and welcoming as well. The funniest thing was when we went to pay, we could guess the date and location of a picture on the wall to get a discount. I failed miserably and had to pay the full price, but had a good laugh with the waiter. Would warmly recommend...

Delicious! Got the vegan platter and vegetarian shiro (they also had a lamb version of shiro), which is our standard order every time we come across an Ethiopian restaurant around the world. This is definitely one of the best places we've had Ethiopian in our travels. The injera has a really nice sour tang to it and all of the different lentil and veggies were nicely spiced/flavored. Definitely would recommend this place! (and if you really don't want to eat the traditional way using the injera with your fingers to scoop, we saw that you could ask for utensils.)

The people working here are great fun, the food was good but I'd go back just to see them. The chef was not impressed by us eating with a knife and fork (!) and the waiter took time to chat with us about a photo by the till. If you're vegan I'd just recommend being really clear when you order. There was some confusion and we were at first given a mixed platter with some vegan food, but also containing meat, eggs and cheese. However, they replaced it without any problem. I'd also say the food is good value.
