We stopped by in the afternoon to reserve a table. It was not possible to reserve for 20:30 because it was full, but no problem with drop-in.
Came back 20:30. A couple in front of us in the queue had to wait at the bar counter. I askese for the same, but they was not allowed more guest. We was predicted a 15-20 min waiting time, which was acceptable, since we could order some drinks standing. Head waiter(??) found two chairs for us in the middle of the entrance and we got to order sangria while we waited. Positive, even if there was no room at the bar.
Positive experiences so far.
While we wait for a table, some guests was leaving the place. The main waiter (?) says loudly: "The last wine is on the house" and he repeats this over and over for the crew in the kitchen to notice. Very unprofessional!
At the same time, I want to inform in advance that I want gluten-free bread. They don't have this. And no interest in meeting my wish.
We get a table and order food and Sangria. Then ask for a gluten-free adjust for a dish with scallops, by removing Brioche bread. The waiter returns and informs that the kitchen will not make such an adjustment.
Food is served. We are two people and I receive all my food before the other gjest receives her first course. Sangria that has been ordered is not served until ordered again.
The place has only 1 WC which creates long queues. The couple who had a table outside the door to the WC seemed clearly bothered by the queue next to their table.
The olives that were served tasted directly of Cosylan Cough Syrup

Read moreAn Outstanding Dining Experience at Taperia, Bergen
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Taperia in Bergen, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, everything exceeded expectations.
The calamari were perfectly cooked—crispy, tender, and bursting with flavor. The gambas were equally impressive, fresh and expertly seasoned. The aioli sauce was simply divine, elevating every bite with its rich and creamy texture. The meat dish we tried was a standout, cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Even the burger my child ordered was exceptional—juicy, flavorful, and a hit with the little one.
Despite the restaurant being fully booked, the service was impeccable. The staff were incredibly attentive, ensuring that every detail was taken care of with warmth and professionalism.
Taperia is a true gem in Bergen, and I can’t wait to return. Highly...
Read moreI have to be honest—our experience with the food and drink was disappointing. For the prices charged, we expected much better quality. The Bacalao was overly salty, and we were shocked to be served with what were 6 skinny slices of cheese for nearly €12, with nothing done to enhance them. To make matters worse, the beer we ordered was only half-poured into a half-pint glass, which felt unacceptable given the cost. I understand that times are tough, but this felt like cutting corners to an extreme. Unfortunately, we left feeling unsatisfied and hungry and €80 down.
That said, the service was excellent. Our waitress was kind and attentive, and I genuinely felt for her, as our reactions must have been obvious. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback on board because, with better food quality and fairer portions, it could be a much more enjoyable...
