Bastard Burgers — Restaurant in Oslo

An interesting spot on the map of Oslo with a décor that perfectly matches the character of the place. You can order either at the counter or via standing tablets. The staff are friendly, and each table is equipped with ketchup, napkins, salt, and pepper. Tables are meticulously cleaned on a regular basis, and the place is well-maintained, including having a restroom on-site.

As for the food, the fries are tasty and the burgers feature smash-style patties, which are quite good – although your satisfaction may depend on the burger you choose. The “Oslo” and the signature “Bastard” burgers are well-balanced and flavorful options, but the “New York” burger falls short: the sauce is unremarkable and adds nothing distinctive to the overall taste.

I would have given this place 5 stars, but the blandness of the “New York” burger brings the rating down. I still recommend visiting – just skip that...

I've been here three times, and every time, the food blows me away. A burger is such a simple dish, yet so complicated because the perfection lays in the details. The super soft buns, fresh vegetables, perfectly caramelized onion, amazing crisp from the char on the patty and a delicious sauce ✨

I ordered the Beyond Oslo (Vegan burger) and a side of Animal Style Fries. The burger is my all time favorite one, and the fries were amazing, a little spicy, crispy and with bacon and a cheese sauce on top. 11/10 Im coming back for this one again!
