Last month, I had a soft and subtle internal emotional collapse at Cupcake and Pie Co., my favourite cake shop in the world. I noticed how my preferred pie continued to decrease in size while increasing in price for the past few years and for some reason this afternoon, it made me deeply depressed.
Iâve been frequenting this shop weekly for almost a decade; itâs somewhat of a tradition of mine but I think last month was the last time iâll ever go there⊠and upon paying for my pie, I felt this jading weight of the close of chapter. And i hated it mostly because this wasnât something I wanted but it was how good things never last.

   Read moreI feel they should change their name to The SUPER DELICIOUS Donut Co. because it would reflect the menu more accurately. The staff is super friendly and 99% of the things I've tried tasted amazing (provided that the other 1% was because I forgot the donut in my backpack for like a week and I ate it anyway).
If you're not an early bird, sadly you'll miss many of the goodies. They close until 6 but if you go at around 4 it's very likely they're sold out of many things. I have yet to see the entire menu for I'm not a person who gets up early and takes the tram for 45 min just for one donut... This, however, might change during the winter, when I'm desperate...

A pleasant place with bilingual service, new items being prepared even at 17h00, guests face difficult choices given the bevy of options, a predilection for Donuts finding Pistachio better than Caramel Pecan though neither outpace Tailormade or My Ugly Baby.
