I’ve been waiting to try this place for quite some time, and I guess my expectations were too high. Rumours have had it that this is the best burger in Oslo, but I left unimpressed.
The burger itself was small and quite flat. Finished in a few bites and lacked a bit of interesting something. Drenched in too much ketchup. Plus for very juicy and buttery bread - which for me was the meals highlight. I think the burger would have been more satisfying if I had picked the “double” option, so definitely go for that!
Fries were okei, nice with the rosemary, but I wish they would have been more than luke warm.
The service was nothing short of bad. We stood in front on the counter for a good few minutes not realising that we had to order on iPads (sad, I wish we stopped with screens). The guy working there did not even bother to look up to explain. Barely a few words interaction and it felt unwelcoming.
Plus for short waiting time (but would gladly have waited a bit longer for warmer food).

Read more[OSLO, NORWAY] And I've come to my final country stop in Norway! There are a few food markets in Oslo, and Mathallen is a good choice due to the quality food provided by the stalls. One honourable mention got to be the burgers we had from Doug's Hamburgers.
The Classic Cheeseburger 🍔 (235 NOK with combo) was such a joy to have. The smashed patty was spilling out of the burger, and it had a beautiful crispy crust. It was smashed with some onions, which provided some subtle sweetness. The cheese was rich as usual, but I do find that too much mustard sauce was given as it overpowered the burger. Would definitely prefer a double patty as well 😍
The combo comes with fries and a drink, and the fries really deserve a mention as well. They were crispy and seasoned with some kind of garlic and rosemary mix which gave it some umami and aromatics 😍
Worth a try when you're here...
Read moreI came to this place trying to don’t have many expectations and I was positively surprised by their burger and fries! I tried the Double Royale to be safe, I usually prefer classic burgers, and this one was very good! The patties were delicious and also the fries on the side were crispy and tasty. I tried the 50/50 as a drink since they were out of the lemonade, which is weird since in the description it was written that it’s 50% lemonade and 50% strawberry iced tea. Well, I’m not sure it was supposed to taste like that but for me it was horrible and very artificial. So I don’t suggest to take this beverage. But overall it was a good meal. Service could be improved, but probably it was just a bad day for the two...
