Justisen — Restaurant in Oslo

Not an inclusive space. Avoid this place at all costs!

We decided to give it a try and we had a table reservation to celebrate my friend’s birthday for drinks at 20.30 and the picker(bouncer) who looks like he can’t even afford to get in himself rejected us entrance based on the simply fact that he didn’t like my friend’s pants (fair enough) however he literally humiliated my friend laughingly and told us to go home and change.(this is not ok).

Nevertheless he was letting his buddies and friends go in with similar clothes, and therefore dress code was clearly not the issue.

After that when asked about what the dress code was, he changed his mind and started insinuating that we did drugs and looked too drunk even though he was the one with a mix of a really nice smell of 90’s cologne and a stinky breath. (We only had 1 beer before).

Therefore we decided to go somewhere else and we had a blast!

Oslo has many other places which are inclusive and where they don’t judge you based on whatever the bouncer mixed feelings at...

This new incarnation of Justisen isn't even a shadow of the old location's former glory. We arrived just before the rush Saturday evening and came in with only a few minutes in line. Doormen were competent and courteous, the bartenders attentive and efficient. Very limited selection of beers, at a ludicrous (but all too common) price. Maybe there's an appeal to the place that was simply lost on us, in the same way as TikTok or purses for men. 'Different strokes' , etc - but between the ambience, the music and the crowd - you'd be hard pressed to envision a more generic bar than (nye)...

Har opp gjennom tiden hatt veldig mange gode opplevelser på Justisen, så det tar jeg med i vurderingen, men i går ble jeg tilsynelatende forsøkt lurt av én eller to av bartenderne i baren innerst i andre etasje.

Jeg hadde vært der oppe gjentatte ganger, så minst én av dem der oppe kjente meg igjen da jeg kom for n'te gang og skulle kjøpe øl. De sto og hvisket noe før han ene kom for å ekspedere meg, så ba jeg om én øl. Han slo inn prisen for to øl på terminalen og trodde sikkert jeg var for full til å legge merke til det. Vel, selv om jeg nyter noen runder med øl, så fungerer hjernen mer enn godt nok til å løse enkle mattestykker, så jeg arresterte ham på det og sa at dette var prisen for to øl. Til min videre overraskelse så så bartenderne på hverandre og fniste, før han som først ekspederte meg kom og korrigerte prisen på terminalen.

Det er ganske sannsynlig at jeg ikke er den første han/de har forsøkt å lure på den måten. Skammelig å forsøke og utnytte folk som kommer for å nyte drikke i barene deres, gitt at dette faktisk var intensjonen, som veldig mye tyder på.
