Due to answer received below its better to explain the situation better. I found the menu on untappd and found a beer there that I wanted but they were out of it, which happens. I then ordered another beer that unfortunately ran dry and it was not enough to be served, bad luck and it just happens some times. I then checked untappd and found a third beer that I tried to order, but the bartender instead gave a recommendation about a beer he explained as smooth and said the beer I wanted was not so well known and he had not tried it. While I usually go for the ones I want, sometimes you listen as in a place like this you usually get people who have an interest in beer. But I guess our tastes was just different as I found the beer more bitter than I like and more crisp than smooth, but people have different opinions. I was not offered a taste and I didnt ask as when I have asked about this along time ago the answer was no and with the explanation that they sell flights (maybe they changed that policy, but that was many years ago, not long after they opened). I was also not asked the size I wanted, but I could have corrected it myself to be fair. In other places I have not had an issue like this and the few times I do get and go for a recommendation and dont like it I do get another, but also they do usually offer me a try if I am uncertain. I also offered to pay the difference in this case to get another beer. I understand the beer does not go back into the tap and if I had ordered this beer without any other intervention I can only blame myself (this has happened plenty of times as well and then you just take the hit). I understand the policy of no returns as well, but if you have it you should bust offer a taste when recommending specific products. And perhaps explain a bit more about the beer. I have had plenty of good times in Røør as well, but this review just reflect this visit. It was disappointing. I would not expect this to happen very often in such places so I dont see it as a huge problem if a customer ask for this (but obviously that is just my guess and the reality might be different). They have always been a bit more expensive than other places so maybe the expectation of service is a bithigher because of that. They do have a big amount of taps which gives you many possibilities and is reason for many to come. And its pretty roomy and usually possible to find a...

Read moreWe are visiting Oslo and wanted to find a nice “beer bar” to hang out in. This is an excellent spot if you enjoy beer, but there are other drinks available. They don’t have food, so we grabbed something to eat before we arrived. I found the vibe and interior to be excellent and the service to be outstanding. It’s in a nice neighborhood, easy to find with plenty of other bars and restaurants nearby. I recommend giving it a try. The interior is large - two floors with outdoor seating (weather...
