-Other than my friends fish and chips being a bit soggy, not crispy, the food was good as usual. (She is peculiar about the texture of the food. She gets the same things when there, but the fish and fries were not crispy, like she expected and lost her appetite a bit. She lost her appetite a bit so I took hers. I thought it was good, but I get what she meant. We usually eat at the one at Jernbanetorget, but have been here once before several years ago) -Otherwise we used some of our cupons. Without it would have been closer to 400-500 kr, but I used 289kr this time. -Did not get any drinks like I usually do, cause on a budget. But most of drinks other than the soda, tends too have too much ice in it, and I mean too much when I say it. It is nice for the aesthetic and the drinks is good, but like it gets finished too fast, watered out if you wait and you get less for the bucks. Spilling a bit of shavedice is not unusual either as it is overfilled 😅 Usually I spend 400-600 kr. -The food is small as it is a tapas place, but in turn ya get -A decent price per item Cupons for free tapas that you can save up 1 or 3 of usually after 1 visit if you use the app -Food that gets ready fast -You get a variety of items, rather than just 1 dish (I personally like to eat different kinds of food than just 1 big dish to fill me)

-They usually give you a small bucket of free popcorn per person or sometimes 1 to share, as you are seated. My friend pointed out that we did not get any popcorn and I could see that non of the other tables had any. She got disappointed by that as she loves her popcorn 😂 Though It looked like the popcorn machine was defect this time. (Checked in the corner, when I was going to the toilet) But that is an usual great bonus.

-My birthday was about a week ago. So I got a free suprise birthday dessert. It might have melted a tiny bit in the picture, but it was very good. Most of it was compromized by other items on the menu. The brownie included in it was great, but that is not an item they had on the menu. Too bad as I checked the menu and wanted to get more...

'Ello chaps!

Pincho Nation is a tapas/appetizers style restaurant with a lot of circus flare.

It's a dining experience for sure. Based in Denmark, there are locations throughout Scandinavia.

There is a lot to love about Pincho Nation. The atmosphere is unlike any other place. Lots of fun and flare.

The bathroom is a hoot (you'll see) and love having access to just refill our own water for the table.

Service is traditional with Norwegian restaurants, where there is a bit of self service involved.

You'll need to use an app on your phone to browse the menu and order. This is problematic for international tourists not traveling with international call plans activated (as you'll need a phone number to verify the app). It's a bit problematic, but ask the hostess and they should be able to help. Pincho Nation should consider doing away with this as it's problematic.

Once your order is up you'll get a text alert and you can walk up to the kitchen window.

That said, the food is delicious and exactly what you see is what you get. Although judging from the photos, it's hard to tell just how small the plates really are.

There's a reason why newcomers are told diners typically order 3 - 5 (if not more or less) plates each.

They're tiny and there is where the value doesn't fully match what you get. The plates are very small while the price is nearly equivalent to full plate prices.

Love the gimmick of the place, and it's fine for a one stop snack - but unlike other restaurants in the area, I would not go there more than once.

Overall I give Pincho Nation 4...

We have been there on a Tuesday night, very nice atmosphere and decoration, magical venue that makes you feel like you are in a circus, music was okey, the whole concept looks like it has been thought for ages, lots of details that makes a difference in the experience. We arrive and the hovemester welcome us and a waitress show us our table (we try to book a table but was impossible so we decided to show up), the 1st floor was open and full but the basement was closed, toilets were difficult to find but tidy and clean. You need to order through their own app, what it makes me feel lazy because you need to download it, but the whole process was easy and very complete (maybe a web site is easier and friendly) We order 7 pinchos/tapas and we wait quite a lot for them, I would say that to go and pick it my self it was not a plus, I am not happy about that because would be so much nicer to be served at the table. Food was tasty, good relation between prices and quantity but it became cold so fast. The dessert menu was not so big or I was not crazy about the options, the cream brûlée was cold and the sorbet was okey. I would also prefer to have a plate for each person in the table, I guess its not part of the concept. Some tables around the place where empty but with some leftovers. That is something I would prioritize so the place can look more clean and tidy. I also would like to say that in my opinion the kitchen closed too early to be a tapas place, is kind of ironic. In general I would like to come back, nice place...
