Simple but delicious vegetarian /vegan food in Oslo. As they say, food for health/ body and the soul. I wouldnt call the food 'Indian' because many of the ingredients, vegetable combinations, cooking style are not common in India (eg. Broccoli is not common in India, Squash is not very common in India, rømme sauce is unheard in India). The food in Krishnas Cusine is unique to the 'Hare Rama, Hare Krishna' disciples/ followers and is based on Ayurveda (so says their information sheet). A real good alternative to the spiced-up/ fattened-up "Indian food" available in restaurants across Oslo. The food here will make you feel full but not bloated. We are not vegetarians but we found the vegeterian food here very enjoyable and fulfilling and we already went back to Krishnas Cuisine multiple times.

We came here with our locals friends at around 4 PM for tea/coffee. Unfortunately they don't serve tea coffee. It was too late for lunch and too early for dinner. Being veg I was highly impressed with their veg dishes. They had nice paintings of Lord Krishna and Mahabharat on walls. It looked the owners belonged to Hare Krishns Sect. They don't serve alcohol and non veg. I treid my best to come here again for lunch but somehow cound not make it. May be next time. Do visit for authentic veg food.

I am eating here at the moment. The place was completely empty, and considering the quality of the food, and how friendly the staff is, I have no explanation for this. Of, and the price is very reasonable. 15 eur for a huge plate of tasty food - I got a chickpeas and zucchini stew, with a cabbage, carrots green peas and tofu, plus a helping of delicious and perfectly cooked rice. Plus two pieces of naan bread.

Unfortunately, Krishnas Cuisine have just increased the price significantly. The prices have been increased many times in not very long. I have been having lunch here for some time now, but now it has reached an overpriced level in my opinion. Some of my friends have chosen to stop going there for lunch too because of the new prices. However, they have very good food, and it is recommended to try if you have not. Now that the price is very high, maybe one could comment the fat content that is in some of the dishes. Some dishes could be more balanced with respect to the amount of fat that is used. Some dishes are very oily, and you can feel that you are sitting there eating a lot of oil. It easily leaves you feeling drowsy and with a bad conscience. But, it depends on what day you are eating there, and many of the other dishes are really tasty...

Krishna's Cuisine was a rare accidental find in Oslo, Norway.

For the first time during our travels to Europe we had authentic vegetarian Indian food the way it tastes in India.

The flavours, the tastes and the cooking was just perfect. Large plate set dinner menu was very good. Portions were adequate for one person even after whole day of visiting Oslo attractions.

Service was with a smile.

The prices were reasonable by Oslo standards.

If we visit Oslo again, we will certainly look forward to a vegetarian meal at...
