My dining experience at Pincho Nation was rather disappointing, despite the food being quite remarkable. The establishment fell short in multiple areas, with the lack of toilet paper in all three restrooms being particularly alarming.
An unattended spill near the bar area remained untreated, making the environment seem neglected and unclean. The service left a lot to be desired as well. Our waiter's explanations were not only inadequate, but also incorrect. We were misinformed that all payments had to be collective, whereas, in reality, each person could pay for their orders separately.
I found it frustrating that patrons had to fetch their food and beverages, especially considering the premium prices charged. What added to the inconvenience was being asked to clear our own table before departing.
A group that arrived after us had an unpleasant encounter as well. Their reserved table was sodden with spilled liquid, and the waiter, instead of cleaning it, asked if they wouldn't mind letting it be. To my surprise, the group didn't contest and spent their entire visit amidst the mess.
As for the food portion sizes, they were insufficient given the price tag. The premises were unkempt, further tainting our experience.
An instance of mismanagement was when our large group couldn't be accommodated in one room despite visible vacancies. The waiter blamed system constraints for the inability to resolve this.
The same waiter, apparently swamped with tasks, left abruptly while interacting with us and never returned. Adding to our inconvenience, we had to find a baby seat ourselves as the waiter was unable to assist.
In summary, Pincho Nation urgently needs to address its service and hygiene standards, especially considering the price range. The commendable food unfortunately can't compensate for the overall...
Read morePoncho Nation is a chain of restaurants of Swedish origin where you order food by app. Their quirky and fun interior design transports you to cirkuslife a la 1930's. And the staff are dressed in uniforms that reminds you of a ringmaster from the circus.
The bathrooms even have sound clips that is activated when you enter for a fun little story while you are in here 😊
The concept are tapas. But not any ordinary tapas! They have made ordinary food into miniature dishes fitting for tapas!
The ingredients and the quality of the food are top notch. There are few dishes at Pinchos I've actually been disappointed at. And you have dishes for every style. There are things like fish&chips, mac'n cheese, hamburgers, dumplings and pure side dishes like oven baked potatoes, sweet potato fries and risotto. You can even find vegetarian dishes.
The dessert are still small, but put together in a fashion that makes them pretty to look at and a delight in the mouth. yummy!
The drink menu contains not just wine, beer and cider - but also their very special candy based drinks! I have tasted 3 types. 1 christmas drink with the taste av skumnisse, 1 tasting of raspberry/liquorice like the candy "lakrits/bringebærskalle" and the last one with the sour sweet taste of "Fizzy bubbliz". They match the taste perfectly and they even decorate then with the actual candy!
Although the dishes are a little bit pricy, it is a well deserved price for such a fun place with such good food! I would recommend this place for a date, a work party or especially for going out with friends.
I go back time and time again, and will keep...
Read moreWhat a cool place! The circus theme is a treat, especially the bathrooms - once you lock the door a monologue by the circus master starts. There's a wide variety of food that can be shared tapas style (portions are not full sized) and an extensive drink menu (three cheers for the bartender who made an amazing drink for the 'surprise cocktail'). Food is ordered via the Princho mobile app and picked up at the service counter - be sure to keep an eye on the app because it is supposed to give a notification when the food is ready but sometimes the notification didn't come through.
The food itself is pretty good. We had the edamame, steak, pad Thai, sweet potato fries, fries, mushroom risotto, mushrooms, spring rolls, hmm can't remember what else. But everything was good, seems like you can't really go wrong.
It would be great if the circus theme was kicked up another notch - maybe some lighter music? A magician that performs on the hour? A person folding balloon animals? More circus-style food? An actual menu would also be welcome because there are so many options but difficult to get an overview in the app where items are listed one by one which requires lots of scrolling. Other than that, this place is fun!
Pro tip: Make a reservation ahead of time because this place...
