Food Review: A Hidden Gem with Scandinavian Cool and Unforgettable Flavors
Tucked away behind concrete walls and beneath soaring ceilings, this spot strikes that perfect balance between laid-back and effortlessly cool. The atmosphere is anchored by classy Scandinavian furniture — I was especially delighted to see my favorite Norwegian designer chairs, which added a personal touch of comfort and style. Chill electronic beats float in the background, creating a modern, relaxed vibe that sets the tone for what turned out to be an exceptional dining experience.
Let’s talk food. I went with the pork belly udon, and wow — the noodles were perfectly made: springy, tender, and clearly handmade with care. The broth was the kind you close your eyes for — deeply savory, rich in umami, and layered with flavor in every spoonful. The pork belly was tender, flavorful, and beautifully balanced the dish without overpowering it.
But the real surprise came with dessert. The yuzu sorbet was a citrus explosion — bright, tangy, and full of character. It was refreshing without being too sweet, and felt like a palate-cleansing finale on its own. But I couldn’t stop there. I also ordered the matcha crème brûlée, and I’m not exaggerating when I say it was the best crème brûlée I’ve ever had. Silky smooth texture, subtly earthy matcha, and a perfectly caramelized top. It was my first time trying this take on a classic, and it completely won me over.
This place is a total win for both atmosphere and flavor. A perfect blend of design-forward ambiance and serious culinary chops. I’m definitely...
Read moreCan i start with the atmosphere? Chill but sophisticated. Went with the boyfriend so it was exactly what we needed. I could see bringing my girlfriends here too.
The service was friendly-a deal breaker for experience enthusiasts.
The food..presentation wise looked promising. Portion was just right. Flavour-wise, I was surprised tbh. Expecting a mediocre ramen pop up. You could tell the udon and ramen were freshly made. The broth was clean, tasted like a well based broth should. The overall taste was surprisingly good. My boyfriend, the picky one when it comes to flavor, had to just say it to the ones serving the food. Hearing a compliment from this food critique of a boyfriend is the compliment in itself. He usually has a nickname for yucky ramen «swamp water». This was just the opposite. 😋 Mind you, we weren’t hungry. We ended up ordering 3 bowls. A must try, and a must come...
Read moreAfter reading the raving reviews online i picked this place. The space has a cool vibe. The servers were nice enough but seemed a bit lost. The ramen was ok taste wise (broth and noodles were fresh), i had the vegan option with tofu (I don’t eat meat but i am not vegan) and asked for an egg as an add-on but the cook said it would ruin the broth and didn’t recommend it..so in the end i was served a dish of broth and noodles with three very thin (almost transparent) slices of tofu and scallions. Very disappointing, especially since it was very expensive for what i was served ! I travel a lot and always try to find a ramen place, this was by far the weakest i’ve had! A lot of room for improvement!! To be fair, the non Vegetarian option seemed to be better and more...
