All style and no substance. It looks enticing, but the service, ambience nor food meet a basic standard. We were sat in the Annex for dinner and first off the music was not only ridiculously loud, but it was awful. Songs from the Hairspray soundtrack (I had to check, it was that bad) mixed with bad reggae and club tracks. Just odd and off-putting.
We ordered the tempura prawn salad to share as a starter and then the teriyaki beef and chicken satay for mains. The starter arrived and the prawns were not tempura prawns, just plain prawns, served on top of the salad. The mains arrived and the teriyaki beef was incredibly salty and the chips it came with were soggy and cold. But the chicken satay was the worst. Firstly, it barely tasted of satay spicing but it was served with the weirdest sides of sweet-sauced supernoodles and then a salad made with grapefruit, pineapple, pomegranate and mango. It was like the chef had leftover fruit salad and mixed it with garden salad leaves. The weirdest dish and not palatable.

Food was ok, but made without any love. The focaccia was not tasty , neither the aioli (too much eddik) - but ok, we all have different tastes. The girl working in service was really friendly and welcoming. All 4 stars for her friendliness. The female manager though looked at me with a stone face, like if she just saw a cockroach - when we asked her for help. Read moreI have tried many times the catering option, and I need to say that it is an easy option for those who order, and for the restaurant, but in my opinion, it is dull, non-creative and non-very attractive. But yes is an ok option when you don’t have so many options in town for catering.
For the first time, I tried the Magasinblaa restaurant experience in the new area on a nice summer day for lunch. The environment and the service were good. I tried the snow crab salad, the same I tried in a mini bite before this year on Gladmat. Creative salad with different fruits and explosive taste.
