One of if not the oldest oriental style restaurants in Stavanger. Centrally located close to the harbour and the oil museum and also in close proximity to parking options like Jorenholmen. Located on the second floor it offers a limited view of the harbour with a view towards Grasholmen and the city islands. The menu is varied with a main focus on Chinese and Japanese dishes. They offer a teppanyaki area, but I have yet to try this. A small but good sushi selection is offered, but rarely ordered types of fish might be frozen, so check before ordering. As far as my knowledge goes this restaurant has been at this location for almost or if not more than 30 years. The location is maintained, but the age is showing and that is why I have "only" rated 4 stars. The restaurant is quite large and is usually very popular, especially on the weekends and during summer events and they also offer seating areas for larger groups. Read moreMikado is not longer what is before. Sorry Mikado i have eaten at your restaurant for 35 years and almost the whole menu. There was 4 people in the restaurant when i was there. The 3 other was there before i arrived . I waited 15 minutes for my food, but we all got the food at the same minute. God knows hownlong the others had been waiting. The pork with sweet and sour sauce was dry and overfried . Thank god you cant fail on making fried banan with icecream, thats the only reason for 3 stars.

The cuisine I am 99% sure are pre cooked so that can be delivered really fast, they even threw the invoice to us and stopped us drinking our own beverages because of they can not earn money from this(can’t believe they said this straightforward to the customers instead of politely saying sorry we are not allowed to do it.) Worst attitude ever seen for Asia...
