This is a dine-in Italian restaurant and bar. It has a nice warm and cozy atmosphere with seating for many with music lightly playing in the background. Good atmosphere for both professional and casual occasions. The staff were friendly and I was seated right away.
They have a large menu of appetizers, pastas, and pizzas. I ordered their pasta of the week. It had gnocchi, truffles, minced beef, parmisian, mushrooms, chives, and a cream sauce. The food was served to cook. It was appropriately warm.
Overall I enjoyed this pasta dish. The flavours were well balanced, everything was well seasoned and no ingredients was too dominating. The beef was tender and everything tasted fresh. It had a blend of different, yet simple flavours: salty, earty, and umami. The portion size was moderate, not small nor big. I feel the price was fair for the quality of food.
Although I do not have any feedback on the dish, I recently have come to realize that I am not personally a fan of the gnocchi soft texture so would love to try their other dishes next time as I might like...

The atmosphere is very nice outside even on a chillier evening, considering they have heat lamps surrounding the walls. The music choice of older soul music was a lovely touch, as well. Perfect for a late dinner in the town.
(The Negroni seen in the picture was purchased nextdoor at Bar Negroni, and then just brought over to my table. This is something you can do if you find the drink options at Villa 22 a bit lacking, since the bar is a...
Read moreI got a chicken salad, Caesar salad basically. I asked if they could make it with vinaigrette sauce instead of the sauce that it came with but it was not possible. This was fine to be fair. My main problem was with the size of the dish, and mostly with the chicken that was cut in small pieces and fried (almost burned) in bread panko. It felt like the pieces were leftovers from other dishes or from the day before. The bread panko was also non sticking to the chicken so there was a mix of bread crumbs and parmesan making the dish a bit weird. Just never get this salad. Was bad and overpriced for...
