I recently had the pleasure of dining at Fisketorget and it exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the friendly and attentive staff. They made me feel welcome and ensured that my experience was enjoyable from start to finish. The highlight of the evening was definitely the excellently cooked cod soup. It was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection - creamy and amazingly flavorful. It was by far the best cod soup I have ever had, and I will definitely be returning to try more of the menu if I ever go back to Stavanger. The restaurant's location was the perfect setting for a relaxing and enjoyable evening out. Despite the excellent food and beautiful location, I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices. It was clear that the restaurant values its customers and wants to provide an affordable, high-quality dining experience. Overall, I had a wonderful time at this restaurant and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a beautiful location at reasonable prices.

🇳🇴Fisketorget Stavanger is an iconic market in Stavanger, famous for its fresh seafood and rich local cuisine. Located near the port, this market not only attracts many tourists, but is also part of the daily life of local residents. Walking into Fisketorget, you will immediately feel the strong marine atmosphere, and the market is filled with the tempting smell of fresh fish, shellfish and other seafood. The most distinctive feature of Fisketorget is its seafood stalls (p4), which have all kinds of freshly caught 🐠, 🦀, 🦞 and 🐚. From golden 🐟 to plump 🐚, every piece of seafood shows the unique taste of the Norwegian Atlantic. It is especially recommended to try the local cod (p2), which has delicate meat and delicious taste. There are also some stalls in the market that offer freshly made seafood delicacies, such as boiled crabs and lobsters, which you can enjoy directly next to the stalls. In addition to seafood, "Fiskesuppe" (P1 fish soup) is the most classic. Typically made with fresh fish, cream and spices, this fish soup is savory and rich, making it a warming tonic for cold weather.

The food was amazing. The service was lousy . This is a very strange situation. I normally write positive reviews only. If I don't like something I won't mention it. I really wish the management investigate this and get some mysterious customers to analyze the behavior of their people. The people are really rude. The lady that made the reservation was so serious and so rude. My wife asked for table of two. I came back from the washroom. I asked for a table of two and she said your wife just asked for that and I answered her. Even The gentleman who was serving us has a very serious face. We had that reservation at 6:00 and we came at 5:30 . He gave a table for people who do not have reservation before us and we had to wait for another half an hour . !!! Even the lady that serves on the outside all of them are missing that friendly attitude. I don't know the reason of that. Maybe they're overwhelmed with work. Maybe they're not paid well... I have no idea. Don't misunderstand me. The food was amazing but the service was lousy.

First time there for Lunch on a weekday. Decided to try the prawn sandwich “største”in stavanger. Very disappointed, the focaccia bread was super soggy, there was almost no crunch/texture, lettuce was sad, 2 tiny rolls of cucumber and a few pieces shredded radish. The mayonnaise had no taste and it came with a tiny piece of lemon. That lemon and the small amount of pickled red onion did not add enough acidity to balance the dish. Very disappointed, would not order it again. The service this lunch was also poor compared to normal. Took a good 40 minutes to get out sandwich and salad. I’ve didn’t make it till after the 3rd reminder. There was a cruise ship in the city today and people walked through the restaurant repeatedly to go to the fish shop. We were unfortunately seated in the path and got jostled repeatedly but people who were not there to dine. Recommend a bit stricter attention on the door when cruise ships are in. It really disturbed the lunch and the atmosphere.

Ordered 2 dishes here. - Portion of clam - Portion of King Crab 500 gram The clam was good 👌🏼 The broth that comes with it was good as well. So I recommend anyone who come to this place to try their clam. The King Crab however, it is 100% not fresh. Have had king crab many times before, I can tell if it’s freshly cooked or not. Part of the crab meat is frozen, and no, it is not because of those ice in the bowl. It has been frozen or been put on ice for quite a while. And the taste of the crab meat is very salty. Even tho you have a high salt tolerance, i still warn you. It could be that i was unlucky and had a bad batch (old) leftovers / unsold crab from days before. But when you come here and want to order a king crab, i suggest you to ask the waitress first, how long it has been in their cooler / freezer and order the smallest option, 250 gram first. To check if it’s freshly cooked & not very salty. If it doesnt taste bad, then you order a bigger portion.
