Arrived at 15.00 which is the opening time on the door. Was denied entry by someone who informed us he would open at 15.00 and it was currently "10 to" then promptly shut and locked the door. I'm sure this had nothing to do with the cruise ship tour group that was already inside. Shame they prioritise tour groups and treat walk-ins like they don't matter. No doubt the owner will respond with a clever passive agressive reply but that's too bad. Instead of letting us in to make a purchase they've lost custom and earned a negative review - nice work! Yesterday I and my friends experienced a classic example of the watchman syndrome when we were asked to leave a pub by security without any particular reason. We had a few pints (half-pints to be more precise) and were talking at the table. They decided that we had “enough” and have to leave. ARROGANT LAND LORD. Arrived 15.00 as per the opening hours on the door. Cruise ship beer tour guide who was stood outside asked if we were from the cruise ship, advised yes. Land lord then appeared told us it was 10 to 3, it was obviously not by my watch. Land lord was aware we were from the cruise ship and not booked on the tour, shut the door in our face. Obviously annoyed we had not booked on the tour and paid the extortionate price for 3 3rds and some nachos. There are some better pubs on the colour house street, try there instead. Avoid...
