I recently visited Koie Ramen with a group of friends, and I must say, it was an incredibly satisfying experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly accommodating and made us feel welcome. The ambiance was pleasant and conducive to a relaxed dining experience.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the ramen! Koie Ramen truly excels in serving some of the best ramen in town. The quality of their ingredients is exceptional, as each bowl of ramen was bursting with freshness and flavors. The noodles had the perfect texture, firm yet yielding, and the broth was rich, savory, and incredibly comforting. It was evident that the chefs take great pride in crafting their ramen, and it truly paid off.
Aside from the phenomenal ramen, I highly recommend trying the gyoza and the chicken. The gyoza, with their perfectly crispy exterior and juicy filling, were simply addictive. Each bite was a delightful combination of flavors and textures that left us wanting more. As for the chicken, it was cooked to perfection—tender, moist, and packed with delicious seasoning. Whether you're a ramen lover or not, these two dishes are an absolute must-try.
The overall dining experience at Koie Ramen was exceptional. The staff was attentive, and our food arrived promptly. The prices were reasonable, considering the quality and portions served. I appreciated the attention to detail and the evident passion for delivering a memorable culinary experience.
If you're a fan of ramen or simply looking to explore new flavors, Koie Ramen is the place to be. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Make sure to indulge in their delectable gyoza and chicken as well—they are truly outstanding. I'll definitely be returning for more of their...
Read moreA pearl hidden in Trondheim. Easily accessible and close to plenty of other things so you easily miss it if you don't look for it. The food is of a quality that the price betrays, way cheaper than you'd expect for the taste, texture and quality of the food you order. From walking past to ordering took a measly 5 minutes, mainly due to a short rush as we entered, making staff slightly busy as we wanted to order. Food did arrive a very short while after and was piping hot and fresh.
We had the Tonkotsu Ramen with added bok choy and mushrooms. The noodles just firm enough to chew into, but soft enough that they melted quickly. The bok choy had a slight smokey taste and refreshing texture. Spring onion was crispy, cool and refreshing compared to the broth, mixing well with the taste profile. Sweet corn soaked in the broth turned into a delicacy to pick and enjoy. The best for last, the pork belly... Thinly sliced, just the perfect amount of well done, with a hint of fat. As soon as it entered the mouth it just melted like butter.
The karaage was crispy, hot and spicy, well worth if you enjoy crispy chicken and want to try it.
The gyoza is flavourful and served with a mouth watering sauce.
All in all, go on in and try this pearl of...
Read moreAvoid at All Costs – The Worst Ramen I’ve Ever Had Anywhere in the World I’ve eaten ramen across the globe – Japan, Korea, Australia, Denmark, Germany, the U.S., and beyond – and I can confidently say this was the absolute worst ramen experience I’ve ever had.
We were a group of four and ordered different ramen variants. Every single one tasted overwhelmingly of cheap industrial oil, with an off-putting fattiness and amount of salt that could kill seaweed that made the broth nearly inedible. The noodles resembled the dry, factory-made kind you’d find in a discount instant noodle packet – limp, synthetic, and completely wrong for ramen.
None of us could finish even half of our bowls. It was that bad. To make matters worse, the prices were shockingly high for such low-quality food.
This place earns the unfortunate title of “worst ramen on the planet.” Do yourself a favor – skip it entirely! Yakk
BTW if you ask ne, half of the reviews here with 5 stars are chatgpt written, easy to see. And i don't think many of the others that gave 4 or 5 stars are ramen elsewhere in...
