I’ve always been tempted to visit this restaurant whenever I receive their weekend special menu—everything on it sounds mouthwatering. So this weekend, I finally decided to have lunch at Imperial. This visit felt extra special because they had just launched their new summer menu, titled “Sip into Freshness.”

From the soup section, I ordered the “Kozhi Kurumulaku Rasam.” It was a truly authentic Kerala-style pepper rasam, but with a twist—tender chicken added in. It was both delicious and healthful!

Choosing a starter was a bit tricky since everything on the list looked so tempting. Thankfully, the staff were incredibly helpful and recommended the “Sizzling Gambas.” Despite the bold name, it turned out to be a vibrant and flavorful Filipino dish made with prawns, bell peppers, and radish. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

For the main course, I opted for the “Kaya Attirachi Curry” along with one appam and one nool parotta. The dish, a mutton curry with raw banana, had that authentic Kerala-style flavor. It was a bit spicy for my taste, but I still liked it—especially when paired with the appam.

With so many refreshing choices in their newly introduced summer drinks, I wanted something light. On the staff’s suggestion, I tried the Festive Kiwi and Pineapple Cooler. I’m usually not a fan of kiwi, but this drink was both tasty and perfect for the scorching 50-degree heat. The chunks of pineapple and kiwi added a burst of natural flavor.

I must also mention how friendly and attentive the staff at Imperial Kitchen are. I’ve always had a great experience whenever I visit.

The total for my weekend lunch, including small bottles of water, came...

What do you look for in restaurant? The IMPERIAL KITCHEN (Behind Zawawi Mosque, left from Red Tag on HSBC service road) was first experienced by us in Trivandrum and now it has come to Muscat!!!! The best part of IMPERIAL KITCHEN is that they have the right of Restaurant Ambassadors, Service champions serving relentlessly their valued customers. One of the most well behaved Managers, Food servers and the employees and their positive behaviors, speaks a lot about the owners and their overall training! I happen to be at the Imperial Kitchen multiple times and often returned to the restaurant only due to their warm behavior, high-quality food and customized serving. Each of our friends loved the food and it is only because the food quality and taste is amazing. We tried on various occasions, Burnt garlic Checken rice, Kerala style chicken, mutton kebabs, Methi chicken, Oriental chicken with gravy, Monchow soup, and many other dishes et all Every time the food has been amazing and above guest expectations!! Over and above, the best part is their Manager Mr Dipu, Sarang and Sabir the server!! They are so so warm and amazing while receiving us and looking after all of us throughout the evening. It is the experience, the food and the warmth shared by them backed with super food. This is what will bring you here again and again On an overall basis, Imperial Kitchen Muscat, is a great place and a change to the people of Muscat Surely visit it and enjoy your evening over good food. We surely recommend it and do try the same. Alok R...

This is a late review but always wanted to mention it. We went on a friday for lunch. It was full and people were in queue also. The ambience is great and has lots of seating. The service was very slow for the rush maybe due to shortage of main waiters because we saw just 2 of them. The orders also took a long time to come. We didn't expect that wait for meals since it should be readily available. We ordered 5 items. The much advertised starter Pandan chicken was tasty but the price could be lower for the quantity. The Imperial Mutton dum biryani was just normal with very less accompaniments. Nothing special. We ordered Drunken beef noodles for a change but had to search for the noodles among the vegetables. Healthwise it is good though towards the end only the vegetables are leftover particularly if you have kids. Vegetarian meals were ok with white rice instead of matta which even small restaurants have. The south fresh catch was soft but the absence of a piece of lemon, which would have enhanced the taste, was a total let down because the masala was less tangy. The accompanying salad looked very appealing but turned out plain without any dressings Overall our first impression was not very good. The prices are a little high so not the very affordable range. We might give it another try for...

21st July 2024: Lunch Upon the recommendation of my friend's colleague, we came for lunch. Parking was ample. Greetings at the door was hospitable and made us feel really welcomed. Restaurant atmosphere was pleasant. We were attended to quickly and our orders were taken. There was a complimentary lassi drink for us. My friend had the Executive Meal and I had the American Chop Suey as I was not keen to take rice today. She had Lime and Mint and I had Lime and Ginger. She also ordered Fish Mango Curry, Masaledar Baingan and Kerala Paratha as take away. Our meal didn't take too long and we tucked in to our meal. Presentation of the Executive Meal was plated well and it tasted good and she enjoyed it. It came with extra papads. My American Chopsuey was all I could ask for : noodles crispy and delicious sauce, a tinge too much vinegar. Portions were generous and prices reasonable. A shout out to our attending server Melbin, courteous and respectful, answered to all our inquiries about the orders, operating hours and other questions. We hope to come again and try the other dishes.

Delicious Delights at Imperial Kitchen, Al Khuwair! I recently dined at Imperial Kitchen in Al Khuwair, Muscat, and it was an unforgettable experience! The Chicken Biriyani and Fish Tawah Fry were absolutely phenomenal. The Chicken Biriyani was perfectly cooked, with tender pieces of chicken infused with aromatic spices and fluffy basmati rice. Each bite was a burst of flavor, making it one of the best biriyanis I’ve ever had. The Fish Tawah Fry was equally impressive. The fish was fresh, marinated with a blend of spices, and grilled to perfection. The crispy exterior and juicy interior made it a delightful dish that I couldn’t get enough of. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The cleanliness and hygiene standards were top-notch, which added to the overall positive experience.
