MERDOST Turkish Cuisine truly transported us back to the enchanting flavors and warm hospitality of Turkey. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with genuine smiles and a cozy atmosphere that instantly made us feel welcome. The breakfast experience at MERDOST was delightful. With a wide array of traditional Turkish delicacies laid out before us, we indulged in a feast fit for a Sultan. The selection of freshly baked pastries, rich cheeses, olives, and aromatic teas was a true delight for our taste buds. Each bite took us on a culinary journey, evoking fond memories of our time in Turkey. The service at MERDOST was exceptional. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, making excellent recommendations that perfectly matched our preferences. They took the time to explain the dishes and their cultural significance, adding an educational aspect to our dining experience. Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the food! The flavors and presentation were simply outstanding. We savored every bite of our main courses, which included succulent kebabs and perfectly seasoned grilled meats. The ingredients were fresh, and the dishes were cooked to perfection, capturing the essence of Turkish cuisine. We were particularly impressed by the attention to detail in each dish. The flavors were well-balanced, and the spices used transported us back to the vibrant streets of Istanbul. The presentation was artful, with colorful garnishes and beautiful plating that showcased the culinary expertise of the chefs. MERDOST Turkish Cuisine succeeded in creating an authentic Turkish dining experience that left us longing for more. The ambiance, the remarkable food, and the genuine hospitality all combined to make our visit truly memorable. We highly recommend MERDOST Turkish Cuisine to anyone seeking an exceptional Turkish dining experience. Whether you are a fan of Turkish cuisine or simply looking to explore new flavors, this restaurant will undoubtedly impress you. We are grateful for the opportunity to enjoy such a delightful meal and will definitely be returning soon! Thank you, MERDOST, for reminding us of the wonderful tastes of Turkey and the warmth of its people! Note: This review is based on a personal dining experience and reflects our honest opinion.

Has the potential to be a great go to spot. Sincerely first of all, BIG shoutout to the staff at Merdost! Very welcoming, and knowledgeable of the menu. We genuinely give them great praise for their wonderful service. The place is decent. Serves its purpose, if that makes sense I guess? Nothing really special, but the outdoors setting I suppose would be incredible during the winter. Unfortunately, we visited during the scorching heat of summer, and even indoors, where we opted to sit, was still fairly warm. I am not sure if the air-conditioner was working, or if it was lacking better AC units, but whatever the reason may be, I highly recommend the restaurant invests into either repairing, or adding new air-conditioners respectively. The food. And unfortunately, the let down. It truly is unfortunate that the taste of the food was not as appealing as the presentation. Because the presentation, AND portions, are both marginally fantastic! It is a little bit overpriced, when taking into account that other Turkish restaurants in town offer "better deals". In hindsight however, when comparing it to other places in Al Mouj (The Boulevard it's located in), then the prices, in all actuality, starts to look like an incredible bargain! Cannot shake off just plain most of the food was though! I tried a little bit of every thing that we ordered, except for the burger. The pineapple chicken? I must admit, was incredible! I will definitely give them that as a solid win in terms of flavor. But it definitely was slightly odd, that a Turkish restaurant, would ace in an oriental based dish? I say this, because both salads felt a little weak despite the large amount of sauces present, the grilled chicken was fairly bland as well, and the burger, according to my friend, was nothing special at all. I am definitely not saying "never again!" when it comes to a revisit, because I honestly do believe this place has the potential to serve AMAZING food one day that will compliment its already highly-rated service.

Visited this place on Thursday 12th Jan 2023 (Public Holiday in Oman) around 11 AM for some breakfast, the food took almost an hour to arrive and not all of it as some items were missing and brought later on, the tea served was cold and the orange juice was watery. I kept asking for the orange juice and tea which came after a while. Overall the service was not up to the standard you'd expect of a place in a prime location in AlMouj Marina, yes the place was very busy, but again, good management goes a long way, the waiters were all apologetic which is understandable as it's not their fault, obviously there seems to be an under staffing issue going on, as many people were expressing their anger to the manager on site. The only pro is the prime location and view, apart from that the food quality was mediocre (and expensive, breakfast for 2 was almost 15 OMR) for what it is, remember you're paying a premium for the view and location. I had high hopes for a nice breakfast on my day off work but unfortunately it was shot down fast. Maybe I came in a bad time, but is it really good restaurant management if they can't handle a busy day? hope the management does something about this situation and resolve it, it's a really wasted potential.
