Better than expected.
We ordered seafood fried rice which was actually good in itself though it could use a whole lot more seafood; the shrimps were very tiny and the other we cannot distinguish what is; no seafoody taste you expected, also ordered the stir fried beef with mushrooms which was good that’s it.
I think the serving was good for 2-3 persons. Their food was on the pricier $$$ side as you can also have the same food with the price on par with some better fine dining restaurants in Palau. They also have a live seafood section where you can pick out something you want to be cooked i think.
We actually went when they were about to close as the places we common were now closed at 9:20pm. The place was above the shell gasoline station and the ambience was good nice new place. The design and layout was well thought about. As though they were about to close and we were the last customers the staff were busy with cleaning up and not as attentive as we have wanted. Also, the chinese owner(i think) was there where he casually lit up a cigarette when we were half-way eating and the other customers were gone, just us now. Maybe you can smoke? (Not sure) That was when I found out that they have good exhaust system, also when you look up you can see it in some tables and the cigar smell did not linger. Nice exhaust system, maybe that’s why you can’t smell the kitchen even though it is just near.
Lastly, we were given a $10 coupon for when we...
Read moreThis establishment is a rare find in town, offering Cantonese cuisine—a culinary gem not commonly found in Palau. Cantonese cuisine is renowned worldwide as one of the most beloved Asian cuisines, yet it's a rarity here.
While the dim sum and stir-fry dishes are iconic, it's worth noting that authenticity may vary as they are prepared by Filipino chefs. The braised chicken feet with black bean sauce and rice rolls are noteworthy, offering a relatively satisfying experience. Particularly outstanding is the stir-fried radish cake, earning a five-star rating for its exceptional taste and texture.
However, I must caution against ordering the shrimp dumplings, as they were disappointingly soft and lacked flavour, resulting in a less than satisfactory dining experience.
Overall, the restaurant offers a decent dining experience, perhaps ranking as one of the better dim sum spots in town. It remains to be seen how it will fare in...
Read moreHK has delicious food (considered it is in Palau)! Additionally the design and atmosphere is very nice. However, there are some things HK lucky can improve. Firstly, the serving speed needs improving, we ordered 4 dishes, and after waiting 20 minutes only 1 of 4 dishes came. Secondly, when we were eating, one of the staff just took the menu, without asking. In conclusion, HK lucky is a nice restaurant with good atmosphere, and delicious food. Although, there are somethings like the serving time that can improve, overall good restaurant. Do I recommend?: yes I do. If you do go, let me know what you think! (Also, I enjoyed...
