Arguably the best restaurant in Palau in terms of space, food, ambiance and vibes. It's not only a restaurant but also doubles up as a bar, pub and nightclub. Great interiors, vibrant vibes and delectable delicacies. I went there for dinner and lunch as there are hardly any better options available in the whole of Koror. It's also located in the city center and is quite convenient to get to. In fact, you can't miss it. I tried their fish tikka, prawn biriyani, butter chicken, and mutton, and I can vouch for the fact that I haven't tasted such top quality and authentic Indian food in more than 30 countries I have visited or lived in so far. Moreover, its owner, Mr Robert, is an immensely humble and affable person and treats all his guests with warmth and humility. Their fish quality and freshness are probably the best I have had in Indian restaurants across the world. We went there on a Friday night, and the place with open outdoor space and huge dance and DJ areas inside was quite happening, and it seemed like all the partygoers in Palau converged there. Many expats in Palau visit the place quite often, and it's also popular among Palauans. Therefore, the Taj has to be the most recommended eatery and watering hole,...
Read moreOMG this restaurant is wonderful! Focus on Northern Indian dishes, but other regions, also. We ate here 2 of the nights we were in Palau (actually, had food from here 3 nights since we stayed in one night and had leftovers, lol). Where to begin? Specialty cocktails are great, had the spirit forward Tamarind Martini and the Indian Spice Milk (only slightly alcoholic, and desserty). For dinner, I really enjoyed the Lamb Vindaloo (spicy, in a good way) and the more subtle Lamb Shahi Korma, both superb. My wife loved the Vegetable Jalfrazzi so much that she got it both nights, as well as a fish dish that had been modified to her food allergies. Her allergies can be very tough to work around, but Robert (the owner) was able to create dishes that were safe for her but full of flavor! The nan was delicious as well, and we enjoyed the kulfi ice cream, a perfect way to wrap up the meal! The staff couldn't be nicer, especially the very charming and attentive Akshay, the ambassador extraordinaire of Taj! Do yourself a favor and visit this restaurant early in your Palau visit so you can...
