We've spend two nights in Agaseke. From the outside nice looking, very well maintained building. Nice accessories and wine opener provided. Gate and doors are solid and provided with heavy locks which gave us a safe feeling. WiFi is provided and works good. The room (and bedsheets) are not modern but clean and tidy. The owners were friendly, welcomed us with a homemade fruit juice and came to check on us once in a while. An early breakfast was possible (which you would expect as the majority of activities in Boquete start around 8AM especially in rainy season). What was nice is that we got a drink and some snacks for during the day, thoughtful!||The room is provided with a small bathroom (hit our head to doorpost or cupboard when standing up from toilet in the night, not much room to manoeuvre when having a north European length). The windows cannot be closed and there is no A/C; there is a fan though. This meant we were woken up by talking kids just next to our window or barking dogs. Double bed was OK but a bit small and hard. All in all after having seen 8 other accommodations in Panama, we really don't understand why Agaseke is ranked full five stars. For us it is at the bottom of the 9 accommodations we...

Read moreIf you are in Boquete and want to experience the panamenian welcome culture, Agaseke Lodge is the right place. The lovely family puts effort in every corner of the Hotel and one can feel it. The rooms, toilets and kitchen are very clean, with everything you need. In the kitchen you can have filtered water and coffee for free as much as sugar and salt and other basic things you don't carry with you as a traveler. The social/common area is really confortable with tables, sofas and much more, perfect for relaxing. But for me it was the service and care that made me fall in love with this place. The family members can help you with any issue, make recommendations about tours or things you can do at any time. I felt cared about like I haven't in any other place. Thank you Lauri...
