Salsipuedes Restaurant — Restaurant in Bella Vista

My friends and I had a reservation for this restaurant at 7:30. We were seated pretty much immediately, and after that most else was downhill. We waited around 25 minutes to order (which, in the grand scheme of how long we were there, is truly inconsequential). I ordered the Tortellini. This will become relevant later.

After ordering both food and drinks, we waited between AN HOUR and AN HOUR AND 45 MINS for our dinners and our drinks. I put “between” because, contrary to our running theory, the hour delay was not even because they wanted to bring the dishes out all at once. Even though the dishes were staggered as if the chef had made them recently, most of the food was cold by the time it reached us. This begs the question of what they could have possibly been doing in the meantime.

When my meal came, an hour and a half later, I received SIX tortellini in my dish. Six. That is arguably a kid’s meal, and for 21 dollars it is more than a bit heinous.

I am giving the atmosphere 2 stars because it could have been much worse. I am giving the food 1 stars because my friend’s pasta was pretty good.

Estuvimos nuevamente. Que desastre!

Pedimos langostinos al carbon, salsa bbq que los salvo, fue lo mejor del plato con salsa de chutnet de mango, malo. Langostinos al carbon sin sabor, ni sal. La presentacion rara. Too fancy, not good!! No aporto valor al plato. Plato tibio. Y el ultimo langostino pasao... a punto de caducar.

Pedimos pescado del dia en salsa caribena, que no tenia identidad, el sabor medio diferente. El arroz de jazmin no estaba fresco. Calentado y malo. Ademas un pure de tapioca estaba ok. Plato caliente.

Servicio bien lugar agradable, sr. Simon super agradable, super cortes.

No hay consistencia en la comida. El menu no tiene identidad, ofrecia diferentes cosas. Yo espero cosas mejores, y regresamos por la primera ecperiencia. Pero no mas.

Da verguenza ajena, en un hotel tan prestigioso, donde esperas consistencia de la oferta gastronomica y altos estandares

Dentro del Hotel Bristol con valet parking. Ambiente muy eclectico y hermoso. Placentero a la vista con música acorde.

William nos atendió explendidamente.

Sorry no me acuerdo de los nombres de los platos: Pedimos de entrada unos buñuelos de jamón serrano. Perfectamente preparados, su masa era suave pero con estructura fuerte. Un poquito salado por el jamón. Bien

Yo pedi una corvina sobre cama de ajíes peruanos perfectamente cocida con arroz jazmin y mi esposo pidió filete de carne saltada al wok tipo peruano, con cebola y tomate sobre papas fritas. buen sabor. Ambos con excelente presentación.

Pedi una copa de vino. Verdejo especial. Seco al paladar pero dulce y fuerte al final. Notas de frutos del bosque en su acidez.

La nota discordante fueron 2 Había pedido un tipo de pasta rellena de camarón o langostinos, pero al rato.. Nos dijeron que no había. Entonces tuve que pedir corvina.

El chico diligentemente, nos ofreció 2 regalitos: una canastilla de yuquitas tipo rufles hechas en casa, por supuesto, con 2 divinas salsas. Y dos cucharas con una especie de tártar de pescado sobre una tortilla de plátano verde. Exquisitooooo!

No se acordaron de ofrecernos postre.

Al final la experiencia fue grata. Prometimos volver. Un lugar donde escuchas música de fondo y puedes conversar. Sin tener que gritar. Era un lugar casi solo para nosotros ya que...

Dinner: This was some of the best food I have had in a very long time. The fish was excellent, the coconut rice divine, and the service phenomenal. Simon was our server and he was fast, efficient, and knowledgeable. The lighting and atmosphere was very nice. This is a great spot for a date night or a very delicious meal after a long day.

Breakfast: I have a wheat allergy and am pescatarian, so it is not always easy to find good breakfasts at hotels. This hotel went above and beyond to provide every possible thing you could want for breakfast, including gluten free bread. I ate more than I have ever been able to eat for breakfast and every bite was wonderful.

5 stars all around. I can't wait...
