Not only the steaks are delicious, but this is one of the very few restaurants in Asunción that understand and respect the level of doneness of meat (in most other places you ask for medium-rare and you get it medium-well, or even well done). All meat is cooked on real ambers on a huge grill in the interior courtyard, in full view from the dining room. Portions are generous, although not huge like in other places, but definitely nothing to complain about. Both the ambience and the service are formal, but welcoming and even if the restaurant is technically inside a hotel, it operates independently and you don't have to be a hotel guest to dine here. Is it perfect? well... no. The cocktails are a bit lackluster and sometimes not exactly what they say they are (we asked for Piña Colada and got frozen Piña colada: not a tragedy, but not what we wanted), the wine list is not extensive and feels overpriced, and some portions (sides) are a bit on the small side especially considering their price. But the mains are so good (both meat and fish) and the fact that they respect the level of doneness you ask definitely warrant the 5 stars rating. Recommended.

First time in Paraguay. Spoiler alert for first timers: do not read further if you want a fun surprise. So fun to order Paraguay soup thinking it was a soupy soup and then learning the whole amazing and funny history of this famous dish that I must admit I never knew! Google it, or maybe don’t so you enjoy a fun surprise. Anyways it’s good soup. 😂 The appetizer “Grilled selection” was a tasty and unique (to us) collection of grilled everything that we enjoyed. And quite frankly it filled us up! I liked the sweetbreads which we don’t see much back home, and while I am not a fan of blood sausage this was also pretty okay. The server and service was nice, cordial, and prompt despite that we were kind of ignorant customers (per me). A nice clean interior with great aircon. So, we loved this place, we spotted the grill and strolled in the back door coming from the nearby museum, we are happy we stumbled upon this nice restaurant with nice local tastes. Try it! Note: they have a restaurant with nearly the same name some blocks away which has a less local menu which we did not try as we wanted Paraguayan food.

The food was absolutely delicious and all the waiters were incredibly helpful. The hotel it is attached to also looks fantastic. We had steak, sausages and some local dishes too which I can't remember the name of. The waiter was very kind and reccomended the best dishes to try when visiting for the first time. I will definitely come back here and I reccomend everyone to visit! There was a lovely waitress named Belén who was extremely helpful. She really made the experience amazing for us.
