Amazing ice cream spot in the middle of the Arequipa market. This place is famous for its Queso Helado, a local dessert from Arequipa. They are the most renowned spot in the entire city, many famous people came to try the ice cream and the place has been around for many years, making it very authentic looking. Do watch out when entering the market, there will be many other queso helado stands trying to win you over before you arrive here.

Super queso helado. You'll recognize this store by the amount of people in it. The others dont have many people but this one has. The queso helado was served quickly and the taste was very good. The atmosphere around mercado st. camillo is the typical market atmosphere you would expect. The plates were clean and all workers wore a hairnet.

Absolutely delicious. I’ve had some amazing ice cream before but this takes the lead. S/4 for a portion and she also does takeout. A must try destination. She is located on the top floor off the staircase that is beside the hat stand. She’s on the left of the flower stand.

Tastes like coconut and cinnamon. Kinda like horchata. It's on the 2nd floor. Above the hat area on the 1st floor. There are a few selling similar queso helado. Try the OG version. 3 soles. I'll be back soon. BTW on Sundays she does an Adobo. Similar the the Phillipines version from what I hear and a famous local dish. I'm expecting it to be made with the same love she puts...
