I don’t typically post 1 Star reviews unless the staff were downright rude or something went horribly wrong. This was the worst meal we had during our 2 week visit to Peru. The place seemed popular with locals and was quite busy, but the food here was just foul. The wonton soup was okay but the tofu/veggie stir-fry was inedible and whatever kind of sticky sweet gooey pink chicken my fiancée ordered made her throw up after we left. We could barely eat a few bites. For reference, we’re two American tourists that lived in China eating Chinese food for multiple years, enjoyed trying different Peruvian foods during our trip and also enjoyed Chifa cuisine previously in Lima. I feel bad leaving 1 Star because I bear no ill will towards the staff and obviously other reviewers have disagreed but the sauces/flavor profiles used in the cooking were downright nasty....

After a long search for something to eat, we finally came across this restaurant. As soon as we sat down, we realized the entire place was being run by teenagers that day – most of them glued to their phones. On top of forgetting half of our order, the food was simply terrible. The waiter didn’t even know what spring rolls or chicken sweet and sour were—basic dishes that any Chinese restaurant should master. In the end, we just took whatever was closest, and I’m not exaggerating when I say it was downright awful. Sure, we’re from Switzerland and used to quality – but even if you stay down-to-earth, both the food and the service were...

Tasty food, huge portions (we went twice and were never able to eat everything). Really good value in the historic centre of Cusco, where a lot of things can be quite expensive. Two people can eat well for 30-40 soles, especially if you share a meal.

Fried rice and aeropuerto (fried rice with noodles) very generous and good. Foreigners should try the Peruvian version of sweet and sour chicken (Tipa Kay) with a tamarind based sauce.

Most meals come with a small bowl of chicken wonton soup which was very...

We ate here on a Friday night, sat upstairs, and a very nice young man was our waiter. We ordered a combination of chicken, and mixed vegetables, which came with wonton soup. (Menu has pictures which helped). Food was delicious. We also ordered a shrimp chaufa fried rice. We were tired of Peruvian meat and potatoes and wanted some Chinese food and this food was similar to typical American Chinese food. Prices are also better than the touristy area. We would highly recommend.

My review is geared more towards tourists. Chifa Lyam is a must try Chifa in Cusco. Chifa is a blend of Chinese and Peruvian cuisine. We had the chaufa (fried rice), wonton soup, mapo tofu and tipakay (Peruvian stir-fied chicken). The food was delicious and definitely not the typical Oriental or American Chinese food. Service was excellent. Decor was beautiful. Atmosphere was interestingly Peruvian as we watched a football game during lunch.
