Peru 🇵🇪 2023 Was very hesitant to book here because the price seemed way too good to be true compared to the competition. I'm so glad I did. What an absolutely beautiful hotel. Just book don't bother reading!!!! Fine! you wanna read?.....here goes. They take 💳!!! (If you pay with 💳 for the room they will charge 5% extra but everything else they don't) Very clean rooms! Hot water never ran out! We are spoiled Americans.....just know we take long hot 🚿. Not an issue. We booked our dune buggy tour with the hotel because you get a discount. Online a tad more expensive. We recommend 2 hour sunset dune buggy tour. The food! We stayed the for 2 nights and no joke.....we didn't eat anywhere else for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Why bother? We knew eating here would be a success. Maybe other places good but we didn't want to be disappointed. What we recommend...... The hamburger!!! No 🍟. Instead ask for 🥑 and an 🍳 on top. Look at my pics! Hummus or Avocado dip. They both rock! Thai curry with chicken! Pollo Saltado con spaghetti! (Don't order lomo saltado, steak way too chewy) Classic Bolognese sauce with meat! (Not steak! Chewy! Remember?) Bamboo Pasta was also great. It's the house pasta dish. Fruit salad was HUGE and probably meant for 2 people. Hopefully they never change their portions. Desserts were pretty big. We loved the brownie. Try that. Free breakfast....very mid. Just toast and scrambled eggs. We ordered the Tostados francesas con tocino. Which was better. But free breakfast was just ok with free coffee. For more info on the menu look at my pics. Free parking!! We rented a car and since the hotel was at the end of the road there were a few empty spots. Ask receptionist if you can't find a spot and they will have one of the workers move. Hammocks are on the roof!! Strong wifi. 5 different ones so you can choose the strongest based on your location. Seriously come here. Such a beautiful hotel. Luna the 🐕 lives there too!!!!

We had a disappointing stay here unfortunately. On the surface the shared areas and bar look nice, however we had multiple issues with the room and staff were very disinterested and bordering unfriendly. Firstly, when we arrived, the toilet was dirty and hadn't been cleaned. There was no loo roll and the sheets were stained and had black bits on them (which we later found out were from bed bugs!). They didn't appear to have been changed. Staff said the toilet was due to sand in the water but when we flushed it, the majority went away and didn't come back overnight so clearly was just dirty. Secondly, overnight my partner and I were badly bitten by bed bugs😞. I will try insert photos. When we explained this to staff and asked to move rooms, they did not apologise at all and reluctantly offered us a room with a shared bathroom. When we asked for the difference to be refunded as we had paid for a room with an en-suite, a room with a bathroom became available.. The second room was clean and a lot better, plus breakfast was decent, however overall I wouldn't recommend staying here and risk the bed bugs! We've stayed in budget accommodation all around South America and are not fussy people so this a real first for us to be so disappointed😞

European backpackers Stayed 4 nights in a clean cosy private room. It was cleaned once during the stay The staff are very nice and the hotel cosy for spending the hot days and cold nights in. Good location and vibe usually quiet and not overrun with loud young israeli travellers who are probably all staying in banana across the road (we checked- yes they were!) It is quite noisy from street noise but that’s everywhere in huacachina and I always sleep with ear plugs anyway. Main problem was that the Shower was only hot on one day! The food however was good! Chef freddy can make tasty thai curry, falafel, soya spaghetti bolognese and good burgers. Avoid pesto pasta-its a bit much. Good maracuya juice. Overall good stay. Just need to work on the shower situation. On the last day we chilled downstairs the whole day and they can look after your bags behind reception. Top tips: buggy/sandboard tours best done at 4pm when its less hot (20 soles) Avoid paracas day tour (60 soles) as its very touristy and only 15 mins seeing wildlife and the rest of the time you’re a sardine in a can! Food recommendations: The pizza from banana is nice and coffee, hot chocolate, cake and empanadas from jaku coffee just down the street are incredible!

Very clean rooms!

Hot water never ran out! We are spoiled Americans.....just know we take long hot 🚿. Not an issue.

Hummus or Avocado dip. They both rock!

Thai curry with chicken!

Pollo Saltado con spaghetti!

Classic Bolognese sauce with meat! (Not steak! Chewy! Remember?)

Bamboo Pasta was also great. It's the house pasta dish.

I stayed at Casa Bamboo because my original reservation at another location was "lost" (I was very happy about this when I saw how noisy the place I was supposed to have was despite asking my agent to book me in a quieter venue). Bamboo was very accommodating and helpful. I was able to get a clean, standard single room with private bath (yea!!) here. It was a very simple room, but I did not need or want anything more. I had one complaint about the room which the staff remedied straight-away. The noise from the cafe downstairs quieted down at around 10-11pm - by noise I mean people talking and some music but not party-loud. The rest of the time it was quiet and I was able to sleep. It is normal to have some noise from people talking in the cafe, but it is a cafe.. not a disco. Can you tell I was happy about this? ||||I chatted with them for a while and they showed me a room (not in use) that they were in the middle of renovating. They are in the process of painting, changing some furnishings, etc.. in all their rooms, a few at a time. It is nice to see that they are accommodating and working on improving their venu. they are making a terrace on the roof - it will be very nice once finished. I just saw the work in progress. I hope that they will keep it as a quieter venu. (it looks that way , but I would ask when you book just in case) Once they finish all their reno's pri they will surely move up to a 4 from a 3 in my view. ||||I would consider going back if I visit Huacachina again. I think staff speaks English.. but since I am fluent in Spanish I didn't care to...
