If reviewing only for the food, I would give 5/5 stars. Unfortunately, the server left a very bad taste in my mouth (pun not intended). When telling him that I wasn't very hungry, I asked for a comparison of the two sizes of the dish I ordered, and he described the smaller one as "for a child". So I ordered the larger one and it was huge, and then I later saw him offering the smaller portion to an adult at the table next to us. After placing my order, he tried to encourage me to instead order something different (bigger and more expensive) altogether, after I told him multiple times that I wasn't very hungry to begin with. Lastly, at the end, he pressured my friend into tipping him more because it was equal to only "this many dollars". First of all, we're in Peru so that's irrelevant, and second of all, neither of us are even from the United States so we don't use USD. The server had told us at the beginning of that he lived and worked in Virginia (United States) for some years, so I imagine that this is where this business of upselling came from, but this culture does not suit in Latin America, where I have never experienced anything like this. Even in North America this would have been way over the top. He took things too far, had a hard time taking "no" for an answer, and made us feel uncomfortable, ruining the experience. I don't know if this behaviour was because we are foreigners and he was trying to take advantage, or if does this with everyone. But regardless, it was disrespectful, and enough to cause me to recommend anyone against visiting...

My partner's wonton soup was a hit - big portion with generous wontons filled with chicken and shrimp. My duck fried rice was a different story. While the portion was huge, both the rice and duck were pretty dry. Timing needs work too - my fried rice showed up when she was already halfway through her soup.
The place definitely feels fresh. There was even a videographer filming fancy cocktail prep at the bar. Nice attention to detail with the decor, and the Pékin duck hanging near the entrance adds some authentic charm.
Service was great - our waiter kept a big smile throughout and was super friendly.
Seems like they've got good intentions but need to work out some kinks (especially in the kitchen). Might be worth another try in a few months once...

🇵🇪My Spanish isn't very good and the greeter at the entry immediately found the best english speaking person they had. We had great conversation and discussions about real life while also discussing the menu items and offerings.☯️
🇵🇪The Pisco Sour is a must! No playing around in that department. The froth and process in making it was perfect.
☯️The house special was amazing! Wood ear mushroom, pork stuffed chicken, beef, quail eggs, and more things than I can remember. Served with rice and I probably could have split it with someone. That being said I was happy to take leftovers for later.🇵🇪
