The ceviche mixto was flavorful and the generous portion of fish seemed fresh (we watched them walk in the door with that day's catch while waiting). However, the shrimp and squid seemed slightly old and chalky. Chaufa was aromatic and properly cooked and we finished it all despite being stuffed. The portions were large as seems typical for Peru and South America in general.

Service was exceptional. We arrived 45mins before opening (Google says 11am but they told us 12pm). However, we were allowed to sit down inside and order some beers while waiting which we gladly did. It smelled a bit of old fish inside which is perhaps fitting. Only one guy seemed to speak any English but they all did everything to make sure we were enjoying ourselves, including complimentary Pisco shots along with the customary cancha and banana chips.
