I got the Aguaymanto, Mandarina, Guanabana (under Exoticos as recommended by one of the workers). I also tried the Lucuma con leche (under Cremosos category). Out of these two drinks, I prefer the Aguaymanto, Mandarina, and Guanabana drink better. It's not as thick and the sweetness is more balanced between the three fruits. Guanabana is also known as soursop and if you've ever tried the fruit, you'll love this drink.
The Lucuma con leche was good but it was very thick and somewhat "starchy". The milk is needed to cut through the "thickness". I would say this drink is an acquired taste. It's not as sweet as the other drink but I'm sure some people would not like the thickness of the drink.
This place is on the corner and I'm sure tons of tourists come here but the fruit juices are spot on and even though they may be on the expensive side. I think it is worth it.
We did not try any of their sandwiches here.
I highly recommend this place if you want some fruit juices and something else to drink...
Read moreI order lechon sandwich and it was raw and cold. I asked for another and they messed up my order, they brought me a turkey. The 3rd time, again they brought me lechon that was raw and pink. I told them to cancel the order and called the manger over his name was Dani ojeada. He proceeded to return me my money and give a sandwich on the house for the inconvenience. If it was for the manger I would walked off mad. Thank you Dani for making it right. But if I never called him over to talk. Nothing would of been done. If he didn’t make it right I would gave them 1 star. He made it right. But I had to ask to speak to speak to the manger. The only Customer service I’ve seen in Peru...
Read moreWhen hankering for a sandwich, this will likely do the trick. Hamburger with fried egg, grilled chicken sandwich with cheese, papas fritas, Pilsen and chicha morada, all for $58 Soles. It was all good, with the exception of the chica morada, they don't make it there and frankly, it is not worth your soles. The staff was friendly, very "English" oriented, but all in all, it's really just a sandwich shop. I would prefer to have a more local culinary experience, but if you want predictable "English" fare......
