A HEADS UP FOR TOURISTS:
There’s a sign that says “placer sin culpa” (translates to “pleasure without guilt”) right as you walk in that might give you the impression that the restaurant is vegan, but it’s not. It is VERY vegan friendly, though, so just make sure to tell your waiter.
They held TWO 15-20 people food tours/events last Saturday. I was upset because I had been sitting around waiting for my party to arrive and was never told about this. Why does that impact me? Because by the time the waiter took my order, the coconut ceviche AND the mushroom risotto were no longer available. And on top of that, the waiter told us the other entrees we were able to order would take 25-30 extra mins to arrive due to how busy they were from the food tours/events. I get that the restaurant needs to make money, but the least they could have done is let me know the dish selection would be limited given the events they had going on.
I would make sure to call in advance to ask about this in case this also happens to you.
The food was very mid for the price they charge. Drinks were actually tastier than the food imo. It’s saddening because after PFW and Veda closed, this is the next option for “fine vegan” dining. I’d say to come here if you want the nice vibe (restaurant has impeccable decor and set up), but taste wise, there are better...
Read moreMy niece and I had the pleasure of dining at Limaná, a restaurant located in one of the most picturesque and secure neighborhoods in San Isidro, Lima, Peru. Limaná boasts an exquisite ambiance, complete with intricate details such as artwork and handicrafts that further enhance its aesthetic appeal. Our table was strategically positioned under a stunning tree, providing ideal conditions for an al fresco lunch. Each dish and beverage we ordered was truly exceptional, including Mini burgers Portobello, spaghetti with pesto and pistachios, and Mushroom risotto, and for dessert, we ordered Chocolate mouse and chocolate cake. The service was equally impressive, with our server exhibiting exceptional friendliness and knowledge of the menu and ingredients, and the restaurant's commitment to promoting a sustainable food culture. I am eager to return to this outstanding restaurant on my next visit...
Read moreA very nice place to visit. The space is beautiful and consists of different indoor and outdoor spaces with nice decor, although some of it can feel unnecessary like the hearts hanging off the trees. The menu is inventive with fun dishes like coconut ceviche or mini burgers. There a many vegan options that happened to be the central part of the menu rather than afterthoughts. All of the staff is great, going from the host to the runners. We were served by Aaron who was dedicated, knowledgable and eager to help with drink and food selection. On the night we went there was a violinist that would play current charting songs. The sounds was too loud at times and the music questionable especially because it had a karaoke style backtrack. As prices go, this is more of an upscale establishment so you are looking at 25-40 soles per dish. Overall a fun...
