The waiter dropped the menu on the floor and put it ready to hand to the next guest instead of cleaning it (what is the difference then why not hand it us?! The fact the next guest won’t know of course). Upstairs was dark and dingy. When we asked if the light in the ceiling could be turned on we were told it was broken. I was here last week and it was dark, so they’ve had over a week. So to have a better atmosphere we carried the pram downstairs with a waiter just watching no offer to help. The Aji de gallina was tasty, although not hot, almost cool. The rice tibid. As it was not cold I didn’t send it back, but mentioned to the waiter he should advise the kitchen to check they are serving the food at the right temperature, as it was not cold but not hot. The waiter immediately changed this to me saying it was cold and he could have sent it back had I said. I replied I know but chose just to give feedback, my choice. However when he started to tell me I am the “only one” who has said the rice is not hot then I was very disappointed as this is not how to handle feedback or speak to customers. What others do or do jot say or experience should not be used to silence, discredit or belittle a complaint or feedback. It changes nothing about our rice being cold, only shows a bad attitude. The waiter did not speak to the kitchen while we were there and his attitude did not give me much hope he will. I have great memories of good food in other La Baguette branches but this one will never be visited again for all the above reasons. And my wife adds that the chicha morada was tibido too, would have been much nicer...

We got the carne pollo and the jámon queso empanadas. We also got a quiche caprese, and then a carne soup with angel hair noodles and potatoes in a turmeric and milk broth. We got a chicha morado and an orange juice as well.
Everything was served beautifully warm, and the pollo carne empanada was one of the most delicious things I've eaten. The quiche caprese was outstanding too, so was the...
