My wife and I have had the good fortune of going to many good restaurants around the world and this was by far one of our best experiences.
From the moment we entered, we were promptly greeted and seated. Luis, our server, was introduced and began an impeccable meal service. He was friendly, knowledgeable, professional and had great recommendations. He also was very accommodating and spoke English and allowed me to practice my very poor Spanish. We started off our night with a short tour of the restaurant which included the room where their homemade meats are dry-aged, the bar, the grills/kitchen and an herb drying area. The tour was unexpected, but super fun for foodies like us.
From the first dish to the last, everything was outstanding. We allowed Luis to choose a sampling of the restaurants specialties and asked him to surprise us with his choices. We started with the homemade charcuterie, with bread and a smoked eggplant spread. We moved on to two vegetable dishes of beet tonnato and an unbelievable roasted loche squash (Peruvian squash). We were then served a fabulous duck rice dish. To top it off we had a cherimoya covered in local cocoa shavings and a cherimoya sorbet. There was not one thing that we would not recommend.
Not only was the meal remarkable, but the bar was equally as memorable. We tried three different house specialties and loved them all. The drinks were as beautiful as they were tasty.
A very heartfelt thank you to Luis and the rest of the staff at Sapiens for a...

Recently opened in October 2021 and located in San Isidro , SAPIENS will be a mind blowing experience for you. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the staff is amazingly friendly and service oriented and seeing the orders arriving at your neighbours table will make you curious about your dining experience.
Choose from delicious starters - we can highly recommend the Pan a la brasa and the Mollejas and head over to the main course, the Lomo al trapo - what an incredible taste and presentation! While opening and cutting the meat, the waiter will explain to you how it was prepared and gives you some other information about it, making you absolutely curious about the taste of it!
You can bring your own wine and pay a fee of 50 Soles to uncork it - we had two different bottles and the waiter made sure to give us new glasses after the second bottle was opened. They also changed the plates and cutlery after we finished with the Starters 👍
Definelty make a reservation and ask for a table in a Dom for more privacy.
Valet Parking and self Parking in the buildings garage is available too.
An overall amazing experience and we will always be...
Read moreIf I could leave them 20 stars I would. After a week of high end restaurants in Lima, I passed by this place by mistake and it caught my attention because of the book, which I read. I decided to pass by before leaving Lima. I went on a Tuesday night ( yesterday)- I called to make sure they had availability and they confirmed. As I arrived, the host greeted me and walked me to a table. The place was not that busy at the time. Luis took care of me. I got the bread, oh My! The break was sooooo good! They serve it with some eggplant purée, but the bread alone was something else. I got the morcilla, delicious, but the real protagonist of the menu has to be the Octopus! Omg! That’s not food, that is art. As an octopus connoisseur, this has been the best I’ve ever had. Amazing! It was so good that I returned for lunch today ( Wednesday) and I got the octopus and the Lomo saltado. The octopus was as good as last night and the lomo was better than most of the places I’ve tried. Everything was delicious. This is not my favorite...
